As promised - a view of the final result of my first use of a slow cooker - it was VERY good!

I made Pecan Praline Bread Pudding in my Slow Cooker. After mixing all of the ingredients I put all of the ingredients in the Slow Cooker for 3 hours on low and voile..... you have an amazing dessert that will win you rave reviews!!!!

Slow Cooker Spiced Beef Stew with carrots, onion, olives, and garlic plus a flavorful mix of spices. Serve it over couscous (or rice for gluten-free option).

BBQ Baked Navy Beans - Slow Cooker

Cathy made slow cooker coq au vin for dinner my first night, figuring I'd be tired from my flight. I felt guilty because it was HER BIRTHDAY that day, but the coq au vin was delicious. I treated her to dinner later in my visit.

 

 

 

The great thing about this recipe is that while it’s a great use for leftover mashed potatoes, it’s actually super easy to make anytime you’re craving a big bowl of warm, creamy potato soup!

In the background is the almost no-knead bread: it turned out well. The lighting in our kitchen is terrible for photographs but this time of year the only natural light I can get is at lunch time, and even then it's so dark here in the winter that I need a tripod even then.
