8-19-15 Went on a whale watching excursion at Husavik Iceland, while the MS Veendam was docked at Akureyri, Iceland. The landscape across from Husavik was impressive. Came across a whale that was sleeping.

Eloise (then again not really sleeping)

Black and white 35mm film

Built in 1857. It originally operated as the "Sleeping Bear House". The inn primarily served lumberjacks and dock workers in its early days. It later would be popular among tourists visiting the area. As business declined the the inn would later close in 1973. This building (and the rest of the town) would later be purchased by the National Park Service and restored. Sadly the inn is still closed to this day but it may reopen again in the near future.

I was amazed at how small this castle was when compared to it's orlando sibling. The fireworks had just ended, so I was able to grab a little of the leftover haze in the sky. If I had been thinking, this is where I would have set up the tripod for the fireworks. Cheers, J

This is not my cat or my photo. It was sent to a friend via keitai from some dude she met in a bar.

However it's too funny not to share.

I did some photoshopping to make it look better.

So, it's St. Nicholas' Day tomorrow! I was hoping to sew cute dress for Sienna for that opportunity, but well - of course I didn't.

I have new motivation to work, so I think I will start doing with my passions again.

Handsewed with cotton and felt .

I'm ready to go!

Next week i have to leave Italy and to go to Sweden!!! There will be a strange current local time: Sunrise at 3.39 and Sunset at 22.05 ...so i thought to make some eye masks, one of the best ways to get full, deep sleep.

These are for friends, but i want to make more!! :)
