One night early in 2004 I was at a gig with Arthur Adams at Cozy's in Sherman Oaks. As Arthur played, my pal Andy Zane happened in after a David Bowie concert. With Andy was his friend, Slash.
This is a stupid story...I played with knives. Myself and a friend had a knife fight. We made rules so as to be responsible - no stabbing, only slashing, stick to the torso, arms and legs...but despite our best laid plans it all ended with a trip to the hospital.
(ps. I look so tired in this photo because we'd been driving across Europe for 4 days straight...I usually look much better, and less cut up)
