I have recently posted photos of Cosmo, one of the red pandas at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. This is Slash, who lives at Elmwood Park Zoo. Slash has made the zoo his home since 2015, the same year I began my volunteer work in photography.

My neighbour Slash loves my bed. LOVES it. So the deal is, he can sleep in my bed as long as I can take photos of him.

Slash @ Glastonbury
It's been quite some time since I've properly uploaded a concert photo, hasn't it? I've still been shooting, just not as much as in previous years -- other priorities have taken over for awhile.
Just got home from almost a month away shooting Bonnaroo and Glastonbury, so expect to see photos from both of those festivals uploaded here in due time.
Happy Halloween everyone! (this was really just a normal day in Hollywood...I was just walking by).

Oh yep, another bokeh! Sorry but I like sooooo much (sooner or later I'll stop, but in the meantime I'm having fun!)
This is SOOC, just as taken and uploaded here.
And I can listen to this?? (Because of the Lory, made her listen to me!!)
The pair of pocket walkers bounded across the desolate, barren terrain of the Jixuan Desert, humming excitedly as it traversed both stone and sand. The stout little walker's servomotors whined as its on-board dampeners cushioned each energized step. Ax glanced over at Seven, and grinned.
Seven was perched atop his own walker, scalp feathers slicked back under his tightly-affixed goggles against the wind as they hurried along, his DC-15 blaster rifle slung over his left shoulder pauldron. “Spice is a highly unstable, reactive substance,” he announced over the racket of the walkers. “Utilizing these... modes of conveyance may not have been wise. Where exactly were you keeping these?”
“Cargo Hold Three,” Ax replied happily, adjusting his own goggles. “I stole 'em off a pair of Devaronian bounty hunters who cheated me at sabaac.” He eyed his data reader on his gauntlet. “Ten degrees southwest.”
“Not that I am complaining,” Seven continued as he veered his walker southwest. “I just assumed stealth was part of our mission; we seem to be awfully conspicuous. Perhaps a local speeder would have been more practical.”
Ax grinned again. “And miss an opportunity like this? We can adjust velocity on our way back., and I've just been itching to give these a rip.”
The sun was setting on the southern hemisphere of Ryloth and the humid, dusty air was cooling rapidly. Sunlight penetrated through thick orange cumulus clouds, giving the sky a soft, almost ethereal golden glow. Further southwest, large kuwa birds launched themselves up into the atmosphere from a jutting precipice that cast lengthening shadows over the remains of a small gathering of scorched, decaying gray hut-like structures.
Something stark-white glinted in the evening citrus-colored sky just outside the small village, and Ax reached for his macrobinoculars.
“Our contact informed me that the village was abandoned during the Clone Wars,” Seven stated evenly, glancing at his controls. “These readings indicate the presence of Imperial stormtroopers, judging by the their pairings and movements. Q'rossa will not be easy to reach.”
“Blast,” Ax replied, surveying their surroundings. “Head for that rock outcropping on the south-side of the perimeter. We'll sneak in from there.”
They veered their walkers further south and slowed. As the sun continued to drop below the horizon, Ax found himself grateful for the thick durasteel chestplate he wore over his ship's coveralls keeping him warm. Acquired in his teenage years on Bakura, the chest plate was forged for him by a local blacksmith who specialized in upgraded, antique-looking armor.
By the time they reached the outcropping, it was almost dark. They nestled their walkers between two large stone formations and readied their weapons. While Seven hefted his DC-15 and checked the scope, Ax unslung his twin Blastech DL-22 blaster pistols from the sides of his chestplate and switched off the safeties. He pointed them at the smooth cliff face behind them and checked the sights. Satisfied, he turned his attention to the village outskirts.
Seven had already taken up stance behind Ax, in a classic cover formation, rifle at the ready. “Our contact stated that he would be in hut marked with a red-painted slash over the door controls.” He scanned the huts closest to their location, and found nothing. “We will have to tread carefully; I will cover you.”
“What burns me, “Ax whispered, “is if the village is abandoned, why in the blazes are stormtroopers guarding it?”
“I believe they are not guarding anything, but rather searching. Perhaps our contact is not as innocent as he makes himself out to be.”
They slunk towards the circumference of the abandoned village, scanning the surrounding terrain for snipers or lookouts. Ax could feel his heart racing as they tip-toed along, swinging their weapons from side to side. He knew his partner was composed; whatever species he was, and admittedly even Seven did not hold that knowledge, he seemed to handle high-level stress situations with remarkable indifference.
The perimeter of the village was discreetly marked; save for a few scattered, damaged moisture vaporators. Just before crossing the plane, Seven spotted a motion sensor mounted discreetly to one vaporator and shouted, “don't move!”
But it was too late. Ax crossed through the perimeter and sensor alarms shattered the evening peace.
