Peričnik Falls is one of the best-known waterfalls in Slovenia. It flows from a hanging valley in Triglav National Park into the glacial Vrata Valley, where the water of Peričnik Creek then flows into Bistrica Creek.

I had to deal with persistent showers when I got here although the showers relented from time to time making some shots possible. The valley was bursting with autumn colours and the walk up to the falls is short and intense.

The blend of red, orange and yellow colours coupled with flowing water and a big rocky outcrop, makes for a compelling viewing, especially if you love waterfalls. Kinda like xmas coming early :)

It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls you will ever see and oh..slap means waterfalls in Slovenian :)

Early in the morning at the waterfall Virje near Plužna / Bovec / Slovenia before the sun outshone the falling water (June, 13, 2017, 6:39 am).

I had hoped there much more water. However, I would then the intensive turquoise-green shining pool escaped.

Früh morgens am Wasserfall Virje nahe Plužna/Bovec/Slovenien, bevor die Sonne das fallende Wasser überstrahlte (13.06.2017, 6:39 Uhr).

Ich hatte mir dort deutlich mehr Wasser erhofft. Allerdings wäre mir dann der im frühen Morgenlicht intensiv türkis-grün leuchtende Pool entgangen.

Rainbow waterfall

The river Krka originates at a spring 4 kilometers east of the town Knin in the region Dalmatia, Croatia. The spring is located under a 22 meter high waterfall called slap Krčić or Topoljski slap. Krčić means tiny Krka.

With this waterfall stream Krčić flows into the source of the river Krka on the eastern edge of the Knin field

Na de foto van de 421 393 werd koers gezet richting Rheinland-Pfalz, er moest immers nog gewerkt worden. Helaas liep het niet helemaal zoals gehoopt en gooide een grote storing in Würzburg roet in het eten. Op zich niet zo'n ramp, aangezien ik na een dag ziek zijn en een nacht met weinig slaap het wel een beetje had gehad. In Aschaffenburg werd de trein opgesteld, om na de rusttijd weer verder te rijden. Met trein 99674 uit Neuwied naar Wiesau staat de 193 240 van SETG op 18 juni 2021 in Aschaffenburg te wachten op het vervolg van de reis. De 193 240 rijdt de trein naar Nürnberg, waar een ER20 van SETG de trein over zal nemen.

Ik was overigens niet de enige die zijn trein had opgesteld; tussen Aschaffenburg en Würzburg stonden talloze treinen stil.
