The monochrome version was posted first, next to this one.

I did post a color version, but I deleted it before adding any groups. It looked nice, but that threatening moody feeling that was going on at the time, just didn't come through. So, back into Luminar 2018 for a major redo.

Post: Luminar 2018 (twice) with layer adjustments & Lightroom 5 for basic setup, plus some brush work on the original version before returning back to Luminar again. Final crop is 16X9 ratio.

A day of tradition and pageantry, unmatched by any country anywhere in the world.

I knew all that royal regalia would come in handy someday, and NO India, you can’t have the Koh-I-Noor back.

Wollongong like most places these days seems to be afflicted with crane'iitis .... the horizons constantly on the change..

While on my way out of the park, the cloud cover finally started to brake up, and aloud some setting sunlight to illuminate this side of Cathedral Rocks.

Post: Luminar 3 and Lightroom 5 for the basic setup and a few minor corrections after it sat for a while. Final crop is a 5X4 ratio.

Besides the grand views and iconic spots to capture, there are little detail areas also. Usually that's during the fall, but today this mix of patterns and green moss caught my eye.

Post: Luminar 3 and Lightroom 5 for basic setup. Final crop is a 5X7 ratio.

Kangaroo Point Lookout (Brisbane CBD)

I visited Brisbane for work awhile back and could not help but visit one of the scenic lookout points called Kangaroo Point Lookout which has great views of the river and Brisbane CBD. This image is a multi-image panorama (around 5 or so portrait images) which was stitched using Lightroom Pano Tool, before being edited in Lightroom, put through Topaz Denoise & Sharpen and finally being finished off in Skylum's Luminar 3 using the AI Tool, Microstructure and Sky AI. Image was captured with a Nikon D610, Nikkor 28 - 300mm @ 34mm, f/10, 4 Seconds and ISO 250.

Here, after basic Lightroom corrections, tweaked with Skylum's Luminar (the Flex version).

(unexpected trip, no tripod so, hand held, big credit to the Zfc at high ISO)

Edited using Skylum's new Neo editor Beta. Used as a plugin from Affinity Photo. More a test than serious image-making but I liked the result.

The Desert Rose, (Adenium obesum), is a strong plant that prefers hot temperatures and dry soil. They do especially well in pots and containers indoors since conditions can be more closely monitored, making them good houseplants. There are many ways to plant desert roses, including starting from seed. You must work with the seeds indoors, though, since they are delicate and blow away with even the slightest breezes. Sometimes you don't have to travel great distances to find something interesting to photograph. In this case it was my backyard. The sun was setting but diffused by the smoky haze from the "Camp Fire" north of me in Sacramento County, resulting in a soft glow of light falling on the leaves and surrounding area.

Luminar 2018 was used for the processing along with Lightroom 5 for a minor touch up later on.

This beautiful frangipani (Plumeria sp.) was found at Rosser Park, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

This is a tight crop from a wider view, but from the same viewpoint as the previous 3 post. It was planed and wished I had a telephoto with me. Was just looking for a different presentation of this iconic monolith that has been photographed countless times.

Post: Luminar 3.1 for all of the correction adjustments and final crop, Topaz Gigapixel AI for the enlargement from a loose crop from Lightroom 5 basic setup and base crop on the RAW capture.
