Hmmm... I wonder what these two sketchy characters are up to?

Yes, I made Henry a hoodie this weekend! It's a single layer of fleece and follows the general design of the Harry Potter wizard hood/collar only the hood is normal and not pointy.

Start to finish, it took less time than the Pro Bowl that was on in the background.

Toby is sporting his now-familiar denim collar plus a soft black hat I made last year.

Our Daily Challenge - January 28, 2019: "Street Portrait"

Too big a stretch? Perhaps, but it's probably better than Plan B (which would have necessitated a fire hydrant!)

100x in 2019 - #9. This shiny/silky fabric is a challenge to use as a backdrop, but it has a graffiti feel and so I put up with it.

Chobam Woods; but the weather was flat and very wet, so I had a view to indulge in some more wavy handed captures. ICM certainly provide another avenue to creating something during this latest lockdown.

Just a bit of fun here....

had a play in GIMP and chose a sketch style image of one of the Red Kites I'd taken on my trip over to Scotland.

These birds were magnificent and I took so many photos that were all very similar, that I now want to make them look a little less boring. Of course in the world of birds of prey, there's no such thing as boring!! lol

Happy Wednesday folks :) lol been brought to my attention that I'm a day ahead of myself.....

Happy TUESDAY!!!!! :)

"Venus in Furs" night... an homage to the father of masochism, staring "Foxy Vermouth" and "Johnny Panic".

This art enthusiast, despite the day’s mist and earlier rain, took the opportunity to render the scene around Oikeniwa Pond at the Imperial Palace in the Kyoto Garden. The light gray line in the middle of the picture is a simple barrier preventing people from approaching nearer the pond’s edge.

I played around with my new distress crayons and the SSS stamp set Sketchy Ranunculus. I stamped the flowers on some watercolor paper and then added the distress crayon in fossilized amber and rusty hinge and added the water. did the same thing with the leaves using peeled paint. The panel didn't turn out like I wanted it to and got really warped so I just trimmed out the flowers and leaves I wanted and used them on this card for the current SSS flickr challenge. the ranunculus reminds me of the sun and I used some bright sunshiny paper from the June SSS card kit.

Not a sketchy cottage ;-)

I've been experimenting with some post processing techniques to find a sketchy artistic effect for some of my photos. A couple of days at the cottage alone with my thoughts have provided opportunity to explore and I've found something I quite like ...

Blueprints for disaster......

Today, as I was leaving Starbucks (where I'd been studying for my genetics test since 8:30 am), I reached the door at the same time as a big group of people all wearing the same tshirt. Dunno what group they were, but they had stopped off at Starbucks to get something to drink.

One of the guys had on a Red Sox hat, and grinned when he saw mine. "Go Sox!" he said.

"Go Sox," I replied happily. "Division champs!"

The guy turned to one of his buddies, who wasn't wearing any baseball gear. "That's right," he said. "The Red Sox are... what did you say they are again?"

The buddy was beginning to display the strained smile typical of a chagrined Yankee fan. I was happy to respond. "That would be Division Champions."

"Boston Red Sox, Division Champs!" the guy crowed, his friend slumping in defeat.

Then I had to cross the street so I could head back to my apartment, as it was riding up on 1 pm and Lions kickoff. But it was a glorious chance meeting, and I figured I'd post this Fenway doodle.
