I drew three times a summary of the technique of SketchNote.
The first came about after reading the book of Mike Rohde (www.flickr.com/photos/luigimengato/8328376145/).
After I develop some personal idea, I drew the second (www.flickr.com/photos/luigimengato/8545684549/), but graphically I did not like, so I drew the third version (http:/ / www.flickr.com/photos/luigimengato/8698609443/)
Now I felt the need to clearly define the "Pattern" (in this case a "Path"), will be the final?

Sketchnote planning document for a meetup of the NIST Sketchnote Community where we discussed different sketchnote styles and where to find inspiration.
9 x 5 minute talks on aspects of UX. Speakers included @lucidplot @alexhorstmann @tylertate @jaremfan @cennydd @harrybr @everythingiknow and the reason there's no ninth speaker is because I was talking as well.
I want to send a special thank you to 3 amazing people in our community: @xLontrax @SteveSilbert and @maccymacx for all they do to make things go. Thank you three! I greatly appreciate each of you. #SNDay2018

Test shot for my 2010 sketchnote calendar. It's not at all perfect ā more of a proof of concept. The real shot would have better lighting and a better camera. :-)
The calendar would feature 12 favorite spreads from all of my sketchnotes shot on a table in this way. Debating whether to hide or show the bookmark and strap.
Also kicking around the idea of including a pen in these shots, or other artifacts such as corners of other Moleskine books, etc.
I'm also considering using closeup shots of favorite sketchnotes as panels for the calendar instead of these more staged photos ā so right now the idea is in flux.
If you have feedback on what you'd like to see, leave it here.
Thanks!

By chance, I find in a storage space on the cloud this old sketchnotes made a few years ago, probably in 2018 (hence the importance of dating my drawings, which I do not always do). I thought it was lost. At that time, I didn't have an iPad and Procreate. I was using a Samsung tablet with a drawing app whose best tool, in my opinion, was the pencil. Whatever the quality or the price of the tools used, it is always ideas and creativity that count. If I remember correctly, I illustrated what I heard in a radio program on safety. AI was already in the air but not yet massively used as it is today, and the hoped-for trust in AI does not yet seem to be there today.
Oh noes! I realized something was wrong with the workflow I was designing. Went back to sketches and BAM, fixed it.

In addition, Eva-Lotta invited 10 of her favourite sketchnoters from all over the world to contribute to the book. They all sketched the same TED talk and created some stunning sketches that show off the wide variety of styles and different ways of summarising content.
Sketchnote on efficient and effective ways to use the fill tool in the vector app for the iPad Pro called Concepts.
This sketchnote summarizes some of the main ways that I use the Procreate app when sketchnoting. There is a lot of functionality in the app so I try to limit the features that I use for a good workflow. The less I have to think about, the better, especially when live sketchnoting.

My sketchnote of a great talk by Dr. Stefanie Johnson (U Colorado) in which she provided some practical steps towards addressing our unconscious biases and how we prototype others.
