Photoshoot at Sketch - I'm pleased to be a recommended wedding photographer here :) www.sketch.uk.com
For my portfolio:
This session was known as a "Quick Draw" which meant we could spend no more than seven minutes on any one sketch. We stayed around our office's residential neighborhood to get our inspiration and draw as many sketches as we could. #Details
This (very) rough sketch is based on this photo by Bia P.
If you compare with the photo, you can see this was a very subtle pose, confusing texture and tough perspective to draw. But then, I like to challenge myself.
Here is another quick moleskine sketch. The idea came after paying for 20 sticks of satay. Prices of things have been indeed increased. Time to be frugal with what we earn. Anyway, earlier i intended the sketch to be only black and white, but, by the time i finished em, i found it to be too plain to my liking. I needed some color, so, finally i just added vine design as background to finalize my sketch. I like how it turns out to be. It gives a feeling of textured paper in a glimpse. Hmm, may be i should use this technique often in my quick sketch. Okay, i am off to sleep now (i am mo blogging this entry on my bed, waiting for a good dream to take me into my slumber, haha. ) Till next time, and have a very great day everyday. About.me/noorizal

This tripod sketch seemed to have come out of nowhere when I was just doodling for the sake of doodling. However, I am quite taken with it and it is something that I might try to realise as a sculpture at some point.
Sketch every day items - let me just put it out there, I'm not a sketcher, I'm more a photographer. So for my first sketchbook challenge, I drew.....my camera!

It isnt perfect.
It's only a 20mins doodle done in the wee hours of morning.
But it made me realized how much I still love to draw.
My sketch of Self-Portrait Vincent van Gogh , 1889. Sketched during recent art trip to paris we where lucky enough to see the van Gogh exhibit. I did this sketch while standing and being hounded by hoards of school children and I am very happy with it as I think it really shows how I have grown from my time in art foundation, being afraid to draw often plating it safe and keeping away from portaits to standing in a gallery letting people look at what I am doing and being proud of it.
My daughter's (5 and a half year old) and mine sketches from National Gallery Sunday Drawing Workshop for children
The seventh workshop in our series sought to contrast two methods of subject commonly used in creating art. Whether your work from Reference photos, direct observation, or some hybrid has long been a heated debate. With this workshop, we wanted to explore the various benefits and drawbacks of both methods. Attendees were asked to create two sketches, the first was from a photo reference of a still life scene and the second was from direct observation. During the review at the end of the workshop, the jury remained split on which method they preferred; perhaps this debate will never be settled, but the creative individuals at Dreyfuss + Blackford Architecture will certainly continue to search.
