Depuis mon enfance, le dessin a toujours été une passion, mais lorsque j'ai découvert la photographie, j'ai pensé que l'association de ces deux passions pourrait me permettre de laisser libre court à mon imagination.
Dans cette serie "L'esquisse d'une vie", j'ai voulu illustrer ma vie, comme si mes croquis avaient donné naissance à chacun de ses actes; soit par l'intervention de personne qui me sont proches (comme par exemple dans "sketch your mentor" avec l'intervention de ma grand mère qui m'a appris le dessin), ou encore des événements qui on été importants pour moi (comme dans "sketch the life" avec la naissance de ma fille "Cataleya"), mais également avec des choses un peu plus humoristique (dans "Catch & Sketch" par exemple avec l'intervention de mon ami Cal Redback, mais aussi "sketch and fight" avec la collaboration de Ben Heine, qui dévoile un combat de deux artistes avec chacun sa technique)

The sketching setting was so good we both forgot about the crowd and noises. SUSHI GALA restaurant owner even brought out a beer. The visitors were all very supportive and Rachel cranked out an excellent sketch. To pay back our respect, we decided to have lunch right here. Ramen, sashimi and curry ... but no more beer. I was getting tipsy!

Since my childhood, drawing has always been a passion, but when I discovered photography, I thought that the combination of these two passions would allow me to give free rein to my imagination. My 10 year old twin great nephew and niece were set an art task to make a picture in the style of Klimp's golden paintings. www.google.com/search?source=univ&tbm=isch&q=Klim... I thought I'd take it as a starting point to have a little play myself. I used this picture as a base for my design.

We're both got somewhat knocked out after our heating system went wrong and new boiler fitted etc. Now we have to get our heads round digital stuff for setting it etc.

This is a sketch I drew from a photo I took at last weekend's local car show. Drawn with a Schneider Xpress pen and colored with markers & colored pencils.
This pencil sketch was done this morning while I let my coffee get cold. It is the closest I've come to the likeness of the photo I worked from with these sketches!
My husband did portraits and said you should avoid those with an open mouth, and a three quarter view. Guess I didn't listen!
Yesterday I painted one of the previous sketches... it was sooo bad I tore it up and threw it in the garbage. Guess I can't win them all! But I sure am trying!
Evening sketch : again a view from the tiny backyard of Chic et Bohème. They did some spring cleaning, and put three tables. They left one wall standing in the vacuum, like a little partition with an old window still there. I enjoyed a tea while drawing.
Croquis du soir : Une nouvelle vue dans l'arrière cours de chez Chic et Bohème, brocante du quartier. Ils ont fait un petit ménage de printemps et on rajouté une table ou deux. Un bout de mur est resté, comme dans le vide, il sert de mini cloison avec sa petite fenêtre. J'ai dégusté un thé tranquile

Hummingbird is little bird, they are flying very fast. I love this bird cute and pretty. This sketch is my friend birthday present so will send out these couple days. ^_^
