I joined the very welcoming Paris Urban Sketchers while visiting their beautiful city. We sketched in la librairie Manoeuvre.
The peculiarity of this image is that it’s… fake! The sketch on the paper sheet it’s the village 3D model I created with Sketchup, and the background it’s an image I found some time ago on one of those websites that sell photoshop mockups.
Well, since I made such an effort to create the 3D Sketchup model, now let me play a little bit with it… ;-)
I have designed some future looks for my friends Joe and Lynn. Joe's is kind of health-orientated, Lynn is more a go-getter
First sketches and models for the Time Machine, a new interactive art project created by Pataphysical Studios.
In this brainstorm session, each team member sketched out their own ideas, then discussed them with the group, to design our upcoming time travel experience together.
Next, we plan to create a composite design with some of these ideas, to integrate them into a single blueprint.
To be continued ...

This woman comes from a perfume ad, can't remember which, but I made up the wings and clothing, obviously. The robe is ripped off from the one I wore as a member of the International Order of Job's Daughters.
August or September 2000.
a fast sketch from my journal. messed up on the nose. i started to draw it too close to her eyes so i had to move it down.
pen.
Kiersten had a rare weeknight rehearsal in prep for last Saturday's Tacoma Young Artists Orchestra concert. It gave me the opportunity to settle in at a Tully's across the street and sketch.
These two quick sketches were done in fountain pen with sepia tone ink and shaded with a water wash.

If all goes well, this is the photo that I will record sometime between 2:08 and 2:13 p.m., local time, on July 11, on Easter Island.

(* Not really an artist -- just me being silly. Note: It is *much* harder to sketch those heads than you'd think! The actual heads don't really look anything like this... but you get the idea.)
Visiting a friend in Treffort for a week in freezing weather.
Sketches with fingers numb with cold, sometimes drawn with thick gloves ....
Day 1: view from a tiny wet garden, I did not linger…
En ballade à Treffort pour une semaine dans un froid sibérien.
Quelques instantanés, doigts engourdis par le froid, parfois dessiné avec les gros gants….
Jour 1 : vu depuis un petit jardiner tout mouillu, j’ai pas traîné….
Sketching from life. Experimenting new subjects, inspired by the work of flickr artists.
(this one is very small, just 12 x 12 cm)
Day 2 : In the « Landes » , the roads are all straight, with pines on the right and left for miles.Big trucks are enjoying the roads also. We arrive at 9.00 p.m. with the impression of having taking more time than expected to reach our destination :)Jour 2 : Dans les landes, les routes sont toutes droites, avec des pins à droite et gauche sur des km. C’est la ballade des routiers aussi. On arrivera à 21h, l’impression d’arriver à destination avec un certain retard :)
My husband brought me my sketch notebook and a few markers. My vision was still a little funky, but it didn't effect my drawing too much.
this started off as a pencil sketch, but then i was too lazy to try to make it detailed and whatnot, so i decided to do a simple line drawing with black pen.
I know this one doesn't strictly fit the protocols for the Urban Sketchers group, but I had to post him anyway. He kind of leaked out of my pen last night while I was watching my nearly-90-year-old in-laws.
