sketch for a brand using their concept. the sketch was not accepted because it was too 'girly' shame. hopefully it will be used for something else.
This month's sketch session started out different. We had a brief workshop with examples of different types of sketches, and some tips and tricks to use in our own sketching exercises. We then applied what was learned to a photo of the Ponte Vecchio we all sketched together.
Andrew sketched a pic of Brent and me last night at Delaney's pub.
My t-shirt says G.B.S.S.A., which Andrew said stands for "Gay, Bisexual, Straight Alliance" (though the letters don't quite add up. Brent's shirt says either "Suck my tweeter" or "Suck my theeter."
Yeah, I don't really know what those mean, either.
This piece would be made from a square or cube gemstone bead wrapped with wire covered with czech glass beads in a complementary color. Hillary has some great corner drilled dark brown jasper cubes that would make a very elegant but funky necklace if combined with gold, copper or shiny brown beads. However a flat square/diamond in a more pastel color with pastel czech glass would work well for making jewelry with a softer but still elegant and unique look.

This special sketch session took place at CLARA in Midtown. A former elementary school, the local performing arts collaborative provided us a great subject to gather details of on a drizzly day.
