U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 333rd Military Police Brigade had the opportunity to attend a Fit Camp at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey June 2-16, 2018, hosted by the 336th MP Battalion. The battalion provided the Soldiers with training, coaching and mentorship for the duration of the Fit Camp with the goal of improving the Soldiers’ physical fitness and educating them on proper nutrition, injury prevention and ways to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.

CONTINGENCY OPERATING SITE WARRIOR, Iraq – Staff Sgt. Derek Vess, left, 2nd Squad leader, 2nd Platoon, Company D, 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, attached to 1st Advise and Assist Task Force, 1st Infantry Division, leads his squad from the Weapons Assembly Site to the Sit-Up Event during the the “Diablos” Company Squad Challenge at Contingency Operating Site Warrior, Feb. 11, 2011. As part of the challenge, Soldiers conducted a forced foot march from each of the event sites with a 50-pound ruck sack. The challenge tested the physical endurance of the squads. The squad marched an approximate eight miles from start to finish during the challenge, which contributed to their overall finishing time.

Vitek found this guy at night perched on a narrow branch about 1.5 m off the ground. This was about 10m from the stream. They are typically associated with streams, even perching over water. He was in the exact same spot every night for about 6 days. Finally on our last night we caught him to take some photos in the hand. He was about as cooperative as a lizard could be.
