So... can you tell? Is it obvious? Does the photo seem.... unnatural? Photoshopped maybe?
Ok... I admit it. It is photoshopped a bit. I was hoping for the crowd to be a bit blurrier (less depth of field) and shot it as much as I could to make that happen but from the distance I was shooting from it just wasn't going to work. When I got home I liked the photo (sort of...) but Brendan Ryan just didn't "pop" out of the photo with the sea of red behind him. To solve the problem I just gaussian blurred them fuzzy.
I like how it turned out and Brendan Ryan does seem to "pop" out of the photo. At the same time I think it may be a bit too obvious that something is different here but I'll let the viewer decide in the end.
By the way this is the 1st inning of the Sunday August 27th game against the Braves and indeed this was Brendan Ryan's pop single in the 1st inning!

I am adding this info after a while and looking at the photo now I cannot believe I shot this at an ISO of 400... It worked out but on a bright sunny day that's a bit of overkill! We live and learn I guess.

A brief post from the garden moth trap
A distinct lack of new for year species on Monday night, but still a big catch for here.
There were two new for year macros, and two others that had already been recorded but were worthy of photographing, a jet black, but a bit tatty Peppered Moth, a colour form I see very often.
The other moth was an aberrant Vine's Rustic.
One Coleophora is still to be checked
The only other new one was a Hedya salicella, unfortunately it took flight before I got a pot on it! Luckily I photographed a much better specimen from last weeks field trip.
Garden species count for 2019 now upto 307.

Modular by design, our turbo-back systems are available in street or race configurations. Street series systems include a Magnaflow 200 cell catalytic converter. Race series systems include a test pipe. On race day the cat can be easily swapped for a test pipe. Six unique tip fitments allow our turbo-backs to fit any mk4 1.8T. Our 1.8T turbo-backs are technically a combination of our 3" downpipes and our 2.5" & 3" cat-backs. Repeating the features of our downpipes and cat-backs would only make a long story longer. One feature our downpipes and cat-backs can't boast on their own is power gain. In our extensive testing we were able to dyno test a 'typical' mk4 and measure the changes. We used a relatively stock 2002 GTI 337 edition. The car was chipped, had a cold air intake and an aftermarket diverter valve. No other engine modifications were made to the car. Equipped with stock exhaust, we drove the car thoroughly and dyno tested it. The stock exhaust was swapped out for our 3" turbo-back system and the car was driven to adapt then dyno tested again. With weather conditions literally exact we measured peak gains of 22.5 hp and 48 lb/ft to the wheels! Power gains were felt all over. Boost was built faster and held out longer with the stock turbocharger. No power losses were felt at any point in the powerband. Turbo-back pricing starts at $770 and varies by series, pipe size and tip fitment. All configurations can be purchased.

Tomintoul-Glenlivet Distillery (aka Tomintoul Distillery), founded in 1964, produces malt whisky for blends (its primary business, especially as private label blends custom-designed for businesses, stores, duty-free shops and the like) and bottled as single malts of different ages, as well as a peated malt (Old Ballantruan) and a 1976 vintage malt.
As it is not open to the public, Tomintoul is a very utilitarian distillery. It is not fancy, its copper stills are not polished, but it produces a huge volume of malt whisky each year.
Our group was very lucky to get a private tour of the distillery, with a very generous and fun tasting session at the end as well.
