Pennington Flash, Leigh. Another view of the heron I photographed last week. I'm not going to be able to use my camera for a while as I had an operation a couple of days ago and haven't to lift anything heavy. I'm going to ask my husband to set it up on a tripod just in case something exciting comes into our garden (which is bound to happen if I don't do this!). I'm feeling sore and a bit sorry for myself just now - but I'll catch up with all my contacts when I can.

The Laphroaig distillery was established in 1815, by Alexander and Donald Johnston. The Johnstons who founded Laphroaig were from the Clan Donald and are likely to be from the MacIain of Ardnamurchan branch of the clan.
Laphroaig has been the only whisky to carry the Royal Warrant of the Prince of Wales (the 15-year-old is reportedly his favourite scotch whisky), which was awarded in person during a visit to the distillery in 1994.
Laphroaig is considered one of the most strongly flavoured of all scotch whiskies, and is most frequently aged to 10 years, although the 15-(now discontinued) and 18-year-old varieties are common (the 27-, 30- and 40-year-olds however, are rare and expensive). The company describes their whisky as the most distinctive of Scotch whisky.

Today I photographed Eden was a beautiful sunny afternoon take many photographs soon put more. I hope you like
Mostly a single frame, 11 speedlites, I ran out so masked in the shading for both pillars and a slight lift for the balcony ceiling from individual frames. A true nightmare to photograph, took about 30mins, low ceilings, coves, very dark, great view. Took a while to figure out, not the greatest shot, still some stray shadows and over cooked at the rear, happy to salvage this much though. 1 behind camera, 1 camera left, 1 into wall camera right, 1 into reflector bottom left corner across floor etc,1 out of frame left pillar, 1 at end of top corner of coffee table, 1 on balcony sofa into ceiling, 1 behind lounge sofa into pillar / ceiling, 1 on floor other side of pillar through 40 inch umbrella, 1 hidden in the arm of far end room sofa, 1 other side of dining table.
This is not as sturdy as the smaller ball, but it's still easily self supporting
12 x 10rings,

My new handle bar. I can't decide which I like better, this one, the track bar or the mini bull horn.
Single exposure.
SB80 out CL near the front door bounced off the wall/ceiling. This being the key light.
SB80 just behind the camera bounced off the stairs for some general fill.
Final adjustments made in LR.

“I’m a single parent. Life can be difficult, playing the role of two parents. I became a single parent when I realised that the love I had for him was not the way he felt about me. I guess I tend to fall for the wrong guys. I just have to deal with it, no-one really wants to be single. So I picked up the pieces and moved on. Not just for me, but for the kids also. It has taught me to be a stronger person. Being a single parent draws an inner strength I never knew I had. The strength to have anything thrown at me, and being able to deal with it.”
Examples of Leyland's Panther, TDV214J the principal subject, their Leopard, Bristol's RE and LH plus AEC's Reliance are all visible in this 1978 Exeter bus station shot. The slightly odd ball Marshall bodied Panther's had arrived in the fleet by dint of Devon General's acquisition of the former Corporation fleet as it was they that had ordered them and so too the Massey bodied Leopards.
Exeter Bus Station, and the adjoining Paris Street Coach station was still a fascinating place to pass an hour or so. Mrs 'R' recalls visiting the location, but refuses to claim she's seen the city even to this day. Her only recollection is attempting to eat chicken and chips in the bus station cafe with plastic knives and forks!

Here are some shots of one of the trophies I'm working on for BrickCon 2014: the trophy for Best Single Model in the Battle theme. The trophy features a V-22 Osprey that has just taken off from a helipad, emphasizing the V-22's VTOL nature.
I tried to capture some of the iconic detail of the Osprey, down to the level of where the real thing has a door on the on the front right and windows on each side, the shape and pitch of the propeller nacelles, and the light-underneath-and-dark-above color scheme.
Astley & Tyldesley Team Green and Edinburgh Falcons riders charge for the first bend at Gin Pit Raceway during an Easter Weekend Northern League cycle speedway match. Owing to a tapes infringement, hosts A&T were reduced to a single rider for this heat. The Scots won the meeting 96-78. The track, at Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare, opened in 1991.
