This photo was taken in Attadale, a suburb in Perth Western Australia. The birds scientific name is Lichenostomus virescens. Common names are Grape-eater and Grey Peter. They found throughout most of Australia except in the far north of WA and the Northern Territory, Cape York peninsula and along the east coast from just north of Brisbane down to central Victoria. They are not found in Tasmania.

Normally singing birds are photographed from the front, yet something about this shot draws me in. I can't decide whether I prefer it or the photo taken from the front on the same occasion, so I've uploaded both.
I wish I could say I shot this in Australia, but it was a bird of prey show here in the US. The keeper saw me with the camera setup and held the bird away from his body more and the background was good. Probably the only shot I will get of this bird, don't have the money to go to Australia, lol.
Well, this is my little sister singing downtown at a concert her school held. She was singing Micheal Jackson's I want you back.
