After being awarded a place in Explore with the previous image, I've thought I should have the Singing Honeyeater in its full glory in my collection on Flickr too. This is another bird on a coastal shrub. facing the ocean.
(Lichenostomus virescens)
Prairie Warbler singing at the top of his lungs that rising buzzy bee metallic tune. Well, my 2018 warbler campaign is about done. Not enough time this Spring to achieve the goals I had set forth for warblers. The Cerulean and Blackburnian will have to wait until next season. On to shorebirds and waders! Please view large for best experience.
Once again, thanks to all who drop by my Photostream. Your faves and comments are much appreciated ~
Carpe Diem!
A sedge warbler singing its heart out in a bush on the edge of a field at Coombe Hill Canal & Meadows nature reserve in Gloucestershire this afternoon. This bird posed well for the camera and I was able to get fairly close.

Yellow-rumped Warbler - every birds and animals deserve to be highlighted... no matter how commun they are.
The U.Ks smallest bird ,this Goldrest was singing his little heart out above a path on my walk this morning.
It was very dull and the light was poor and I was pleased that I managed this single shot before he flew away.
Taken on my local canal in Devon.
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
praise for the morning
praise for them springing fresh from the world
There still is plenty of splashes of spring blossom colouring our country side at the moment, hard to by pass for today's Sunday slide. HSS

I had followed this bird for a couple of mintues as it worked through some pine branches. Impossible to get a clear shot.
It dropped onto the bush below, paused, gave a shrill call, and immediately dived into the depths of the lignum.
Common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) male singing while perched on a branch.
Samiec zięby (Fringilla coelebs) siedzacy na gałęzi i śpiewający.
This is un-cropped, shot from only 15-feet away. If you love feather details, hit the expand arrows then F11 to see full-screen.
ICM.
There's has been a lot of work in the wood this year so it's full of discarded bits of dead wood and looks very scrappy.
Perfect for ICM which hides a multitude of sins.
The daffodils are singing in the spring breeze as they announce the arrival of warm air and sunshine.
This was taken last Spring. These birds really blend into their surroundings. I was lucky to have even seen this bird. :-)
Happy Friday!!! :-)
A male Wren at close quarters, they might be small but they're definitely mighty when it comes to singing.
Yellow Warbler dancing and signing away in the bushes at Humber Bay Park. Although I'm impressed with the IQ of the camera the auto focus is poor to say the least with the adapter. I guess I'll stick to my 7d mk II until sigma or tamron makes an affordable long lens for the FE system!
When I took this image the Goldfinch appeared to be signing, and I could hear its song - however, when I opened the image in PS I saw a fly in its dining view!
We visited this place a couple years ago. While the house has significantly deteriorated, I was happy to hear the windmill still singing as it revolved in the breeze.
Happy Windmill Wednesday!
(I have been away from Flickr a few days as I have been busy processing images taken at a fundraiser and a memorial. Still have more to do but had to stop by for a little Flickr fix.)
