Saw many birds around the local area this morning including at least two Song Thrushes. Found this one singing from a small tree not far from where I managed to film a Fox hunting last weekend. It wasn't singing in the usual way though. Most Song Thrushes I hear tend to repeat almost all of the phrases they make, but this one didn't but it still had a beautiful song and I enjoyed filming it despite having little bits of sleet falling onto my camera at the rime.
They are very common birds here so I'll be hearing sounds like this a lot more over the next few weeks :-)

Hollie the lead vocalist of the Accentrix is singing at a gig with Mercy and Magic in Raleigh NC. visit us at www.theaccentrix.com or www.myspace.com/theaccentrix
He was singing at 8 PM, he was singing at 9 PM, he was singing at 10 PM, at 11 PM too, now is after midnight and he is still singing. And he will be singing at 1 AM through 2 AM and 3 and 4... He is singing all night long. Is this normal for blackbirds? I know it's spring but I always thought birds are always having an early night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free
Black-bird fly
Black-bird fly, into the light of a dark black night

A Blackbird with backlighting is a near to impossible feat to postprocess, but he was singing so beautifully in our backyard...

Sam & George study The Singing Ringing Tree.
On Crown Point overlooking Burnley is this magnificent sculpture/art work. The pipes are tuned so that it constantly hums with volume and tone according to the force and direction of the wind.
This is one of four "Panopticons" in the East Lancs area.
