Fountain in front of the Parco Inn, Lincoln Drive, Sinclair, Wyoming. This large, unique fountain rests in the town plaza, erected in 1927 to honor the town's founder, Frank E. Kistler.

Over the past few days we have had a crew removing an accumulation of silt from the basement of the Sinclair Inn Museum. While they were digging today they came across this interesting bottle buried under about a foot of debris. The bottle is still corked and actually contains some liquid.

Thought I'd have another go at digitising these, using the DSLR/macro/lightbox set-up. Couldn't get the white balance sorted - maybe it's more noticeable with portraits. Ended up pulling the RGB curves separately in DPP.

If there's one thing SOHO screams, it's "gentrification!" The whole area is crammed with gorgeous brick and wrought iron warehouses and factories where single lofts are worth more than a 6 bedroom house. As a friend who lives in New York told me, the stupid part about it is the people who spend $30,000 a month renting one of these spaces are rarely ever in town using it.
