Drew this from a photo on the cover of the University of Alberta Press Spring 2010 catalogue. Photo credit was Suzanne Ahearne. I absolutely loved the photo.
As a child, I remember a gas station in Massachusetts that gave away green brontosaurus soaps that had capsules in the center. The capsules usually had little toys in them like ones in gum machines. I don't remember if those stations were Sinclairs or not.

A thrilling processional extravaganza through the streets of Wick. The legendary voyage to America by Henry Sinclair was brought to life by a cast of hundreds. A spectacle full of adventure, shipwrecks, battles, secret maps, and strange lands featuring giant puppets, historic boats, stilt walkers, fireworks, dancing drama and much much more. I used to work for Sinclair Radionics back in the early/mid 1970's, when their main products were audio speakers, a micro radio (still got mine somewhere), and pocket (huh!) calculators. The mini tv was in research and development (and I was chucked out of R&D by Chris Curry, who later went on to set up Acorn Computers) because I took the mickey out of the black and white 4 inch tv. Also in development was an electric bike - it was way before the C5.

The Sinclairs Building on West Street by Project Orange is probably the best piece of new commercial architecture in Sheffield.
