In the framework of the National Model United Nations held in Azerbaijan on 20-23 February 2016, the simulation of the UN General Assembly on the case of strengthening of the UN system and reform of its main institutions was organised.
87 people participated in the simulation conference during four days. The sessions were moderated by Azer Abasaliyev and Turkan Mukhtarova. Two draft resolutions were submitted by the member states, one of which sponsored by Canada, Nigeria, France, United Arabic Emirates, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, Netherlands, Indonesia and Belgium was adopted by a two-thirds majority. As the result of the game, the participants were awarded with certificates. For their outstanding contribution to the committee the following delegates were awarded at the closing ceremony.

-Etibar Etibarli, the delegation of Nigeria (Best Debater)
-Bahlul Yusifli, the delgation of India (Best Position Paper)
-Gunay Alibayli, the delegation of France (Honorable Mention)
-Daniz Safarova, the delegation of Iran (Honorable mention)
-Faik Isazada, the delegation of Denmark (Honourable Mention)

Some people have asked for a simulation of my freaky new view of the world, with both eyes open. This is pretty quantitatively accurate, based on my most recent numbers and my estimated R-L dominance ratio.
Which image is the "correct" one? The less intense, upper, un-tilted image. Because my R eye is so dominant, when I have both eyes open, the "wrong" image gets the thumbs up in my brain and I aim for the wrong point in space and spin to the left.
Clearly, it's the one-eyed Pirate Life for me! A One-Eyed Jack will actually make it down the stairs in one piece. Which is always a good thing!

Day 33-Spend a better part of the week gong over this player's (heh) guide for a business simulation we are doing in my Strategy class this semester. It's VERY dense and 34 pages of how to play and the ins and outs of business. Honestly, its dryer to read than a ricecake is to eat but I'm going to be quizzed on it soon and I certainly have to know how to play the game, even though our first practice run was due yesterday.
This is probably why I never got into fantasy board games. That, and I didnt have any friends who play them.
Weird, right?
The Simulation Game of Dashkesen Summer School was organized on its third school day and accomplished on the fifth day with the closing ceremony.
Discussions on the topics as "Representation of women in top management positions" and "Ensuring the security of international air space" were held in the format of the UN General Assembly.
While achieving a consensus on the “Representation of women in top management position” resolution, “delegates” failed to agree on the topic of “Security of International Air Space”.
The Dashkesen Summer School was organized under the “Creating New Platforms to Support Active Youth Engagement in Global Policy Debates” joint project between UNDP and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Current objective of the project is to support the institutionalization of the Model UN in Azerbaijan and creation of national Model UN mechanism or network, delivering financial means to support the participation of national youth in international MUN initiatives and organizing national MUN.
