“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”

Taken whilst on a walk in East Sussex. I just love the simplicity of this one.

There is beauty in simplicity and grace in stillness.

I love the beauty and simplicity of this grass. It gives me a somewhat undefinable feeling of nostalgia, calm, and breath - pause and reflection in a busy life.

"Simplicity of living, if deliberately chosen, implies a compassionate approach to life. It means that we are choosing to live our daily lives with some degree of conscious appreciation of the condition of the rest of the world."

Tranquility in simplicity.

Sometimes, in the simplest things, the most common is the true beauty of nature.

On many occasions, nature photographers seek the most shocking photo, or the most impressive place, but never forget that we are surrounded by simple and true beauty.

I hope you like it.

I think a simple black and white wooden stake for the fields gives a nice graphic effect.

Life gets really complicated some times. We spend our lives chasing possessions only to discard them later. We like to say "less is more" but do we really believe that?

Would you live in that little red hut? Pared down to the basic necessities? Would you be content to spend much of your time in solitude? Would this beautiful view with the ever-changing light sustain you?

T. S. Eliot speaks of “music heard so deeply that it isn’t heard at all, but you are the music while the music lasts.” And he sees in this experience an aspect of “the moment in and out of time.” When we learn to combine the two and live “in and out of time,” we turn the polarity between time and now, between instant and ecstasy, into a creative tension. This inner gesture allows us to live full and creative lives.

Today while digging a hole to plant yet another yard shrub I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful this Iris looked. I see it as “Simplicity In May” I’m so taken aback by the simple beauty that Spring delivers every year. Winter seems longer because we know how pleased we’ll be when April arrives ushering in beautiful days coming in May. I hope you too will be listening to the infamous singer Johnny Nash as he sings “I Can See Cleary Now.” Thanks for viewing my photos. Gratitude and Kindness are ever present in May like all of the months.

the ordinary moments in our lives can bring us surprising joy and satisfaction. there's beauty in little things: a smile, act of kindness, or moment of grace. when i look for it, i see goodness all around me. i also see it inside me and inside each of you: goodness that is ordinary, imperfect, and beautiful.

I like the simplicity that nature offers.

This is from the same shoot as the last photo, but after looking at them, I think I like this one better. Let me know what you think. Again, I think this is best viewed LARGE
