Maternity Shorts, Pedal Pushers and Slacks in Misses' Sizes
These neatly tailored pants are shown in three lengths and feature an adjustable waistband that fastens with buttons. Soft pleats give extra fullness to front of pants and an optional patch pocket may be sewn to right back.
For Normal Waist Size 28" --
Finished length of Slacks: 40 1/2".
Finished length of Pedal Pushers: 30 1/2".
Finished length of Shorts: 18".
Suggested Fabrics --
V.1: Cotton, corduroy, rayon gabardine, wool. V.2: Cotton, velveteen, rayon gabardine, wool. V.3: Even plaid or plain cotton, corduroy, rayon suitings, wool.
Sewing Notions --
View 1, 2 and 3: 2 spools of thread; bias seam binding; 8 buttons; 1/2" wide cotton twill tape.

I should have lined the skirt, and it's pretty wrinkled...but all in all I loved this pattern. The pockets are awesome. They were a bit confusing for me to attach to the bodice, but after studying the drawing for a minute I figured it out.

Junior Misses and Misses' Blouse and Skirt
Blouse gathers below yoke; notched collar and long sleeves gathered to wristband, or short sleeves. Eight piece skirt has welt pockets or buttonholes which fasten to buttons sewn on blouse. Skirt extends above waistline. Sash may be worn.
Notions -- BLOUSE - 1 spool thread (100 yds); snap fasteners; For Blouse with Plain Skirt - 4 buttons (35 lines--7/8" diam.); For Skirt with Buttonholes - 3 buttons (35 lines--7/8" diam.); 6 buttons (1 1/8" diam.); shields. SKIRT - Slide fastener; seam binding; 1 spool matching thread (100 yds.).
Suggested Fabrics -- SKIRT - Linen, cottons, shantung, wool crepe, twill, novelty woolens, flannel. SASH - Cottons, linen, silk crepe, shantung. BLOUSE WITH LONG SLEEVES - Length-wise striped silk, flat crepe, printed silk, wool jersey, sheer wool. BLOUSE WITH SHORT SLEEVES - Cottons, linen, flat crepe, surah. DRESS - Plain or Printed: Cottons, linen, silk shantung, spun rayons, novelty silks, flat crepe, surah.

Junior and Misses' one-piece Dress with two Skirts, Cummerbund and Belt: Dress has a wide lapel collar. V1. sheath dress has set-in sleeves; double breasted front closing; shaped self belt and slim skirt has soft pleats at front waistline and back kick pleat. V2. sleeveless dress has a full softly pleated skirt. Pleated cummerbund is contrasting.

MISSES' BLOUSE, SKIRT OR JUMPER DRESS IN TWO LENGTHS.
The jumper may be omitted and the blouse and skirt worn together. Blouse has square neck front. Bishop sleeves are perforated for short. Twelve-gored skirt is attached to a yoke. Jumper has square neck in front.
For size 16, (34B, 28W, 37H)--
Finished back length from base of neck to hem of Blouse: 19 3/4".
Finished back length from base of neck to hem of Jumper: 44 1/2".
Finished length from waist to hem of Long Skirt: 41 1/2"
Finished length from waist to hem of Short Skirt: 28 1/2"
Width around lower edge of: Short Skirt or Jumper about 3 5/8 yds., Long Skirt about 4 5/8 yds.
2" (finished) hem allowed on Short Skirt or Jumper.
NOTIONS--
Slide fasteners( 7" for Blouse opening, 7" for Skirt opening, 9" for Jumper opening); seam binding; semi-circular shoulder pads; 3/4" wide (No. 3) ribbon; 1 spool matching thread (100 yds.); 1 spool contrast thread (100 yds.); snap fasteners; hooks and eyes; shields.
SUGGESTED FABRICS--
BLOUSE: Batiste, dimity, flat crepe, chiffon, marquisette.
LONG OR SHORT SKIRT, JUMPER: Linen, taffeta, faille crepe.
SHORT SKIRT OR JUMPER: Twill, wool crepe.
View B from Lisette lawn. Nothing fancy, but I can rarely find tops like this in ready-to-wear that fit well (too little in the shoulder-and-boobage department to hold it up). I took about 1.5 inches out of the middle of the pattern, my first major pattern adjustment....and I'm pretty happy with it!
Oops...fabric is Lisette cotton lawn from JoAnn's (I can't remember if it has a name--blue with white/green dots).

Simplicity 8153; ©1969; Misses’ Top, Hip-Hugger Pants and Two-Piece Bathing Suit: The lined two-piece bathing suit with optional lace edging and bow has bra with back button closing, shoulder straps and elastic casings. The shorts have elastic casing at upper and leg edges. The top with optional rick-rack or lace edging trim features lowered round neckline in front with an “H” back closing. The dart fitted, hip-hugger pants with side zipper have shaped leg edges.
Found this vintage sewing book "Simplicity Sewing Book" (1967) at Thrift Store.
I don't sew garment, but it is fun to read!! Maybe one day, I am confident enough, I'll give it a try.

Misses' and Women's Daytime and Evening Slip.
The bodice is softly gathered at the shaped, lower edge and darted at the underarm. The skirt is top-stitched to the bodice. Lace edging trims the upper and lower edges of Style I. Both the long and short versions of Style II are faced with bias at the the upper edge.
For size 16, (34B, 28W, 37H), width around lower edge of long slip is 69 inches; short slip is 58 inches. Finished back length from base of neck to hem of long slip is 54 inches; short slip is 42.5 inches.
Notions --
Style I - II: matching thread 100 yds.
Style I: 1.25 inch wide lace edging.
