In my photographic journey I'm recently gravitating towards the research of a supposed simplicity.

This scene caught my attention because the cut in the foreground reminded me of a modernist painting I studied in high school.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

It was definitely a day to eat shanzha (Hawthorn). What a pure happiness moment illustrated by the youth, the skewer, the sun and the sea!

Life can me very simple sometime...

Haven't had my feet wet for a couple of weeks now :-) ....... so thought it fitting to visit the beach at Fingal Heads. Usually I go up around the headland at Fingal, but today I decided to stay around the beach area.

Was trying for some simplicity with Cook Island in the background and a rock. :-)

This photo was taken on my last visit to the Calgary Zoo, on 14 October 2014. By now, the butterfly display may have come to an end, and there will be no butterflies till sometime, I think, in April next year. On my last visit, there were quite a few butterflies, but very few different kinds - and it was only occasionally that one of them would land and stay. This was one of the very few co-operative ones that I was lucky enough to catch. I rather liked the way it was perched near the tip of this beautiful, pink-edged leaf. Tried to find an ID last night, but without luck. Not sure if I've ever seen this kind before - couldn't see one in my Tropical Butterfly album.

Another take at Simplicity 2596, this time, I made View B.

The fabric is a very thin fabric with dots of fabric tufts on it. Is this known as Swiss Dots?

I wore it to work for casual Friday and nobody had any idea I made it myself (if yes, they were polite not to ask me about it)! Excuse the creases, it is afterall, after a day's wear :).

EXPLORED-I worked on this flower in Photoshop for nearly an hour til I decided all it might need was cropping a tiny bit.Sometimes simple is much better than anything fancy I could do.

Simplicity is the property, condition, or quality of being simple or un-combined. It often denotes beauty, purity or clarity. Simplicity can mean freedom from hardship, effort or confusion. Thanks Wikipedia

Busy enough the past one month so no time for photography. Here is a shot from my trip to Italy at mid Octomber!!!Even without clouds (no expresive sky) there was a great evening with the glow from the sunset light all over the area!!!

June 7, 2007. I love simplicity. Simplicity is beautiful. Simplicity is appreciating the little things in life.

This is a dead sunflower against snow. I used two layers of the Simplicity texture and then added the word art (by Sue Cummings).

Of late, I've found myself attempting to get more out of RAW files, to bring out more natural beauty of images, the shadows, the soft light, and motion. I've gone back to reprocess, or just process, some older shots that I was never really completely happy with. This image is a single RAW, plain and simple...and I think i'm finally happy with it. The previous version of this shot was an HDR, and while I love HDR (don't get me wrong), I felt it didn't really capture the landscape very well.

I think this week, I'll just put out some old shots that I've reprocessed and anyone viewing this stream can feel free to voice their opinions and preferences. Thanks a lot...

In many ways, you probably know how to live a simple life, but do you want to? Many want the complexity and constant drama of their lives. This is something we each have to look at honestly. However, some of us really want simplicity, and some would want it if they knew what it felt like to live more simply and at peace.

With all these computing around me, all those little gadgets, all those cars parked around office, burning of fuels at traffic signals, new of terrorist attacks around the world, economy going down, prices rising up... with all that is said and done... When I just feel there is nothing left for me in this complex world, I return to where I always feel like home... I am back to Karoor... That Jutts clans with their simple yet organized way of living make me feel simple... Simple as it is at the core level.. Just less than a 40 min drive from the twin city is this wonderful place.

Taken: Just when you cross Simly Dam, one can see this colony on the way to Karoor & Ban. A sure sight for those who knows the blessing of simplicity..

Nature teaches us simplicity and contentment, because in its presence we realize we need very little to be happy.”

the beauty is everywhere, sometimes under your feet...

My bedroom seems to be always filled with light which is why its one of my favourite places in the house.

I have these beautiful heavy soft sheers which I handpainted and they really diffuse the light in here and make all my girly stuff glow.

Can be a bit of a problem taking photos sometimes but I caught the light just right on this little display.

I have quite a lot of 1950's necklaces as well and they get hung and draped over everything as I am a really over the top rugby shirt and shorts wearing girly girl.

mmmmmm Beginning to think I AM eccentric!!!

EXPLORED #463 5TH NOVEMBER

I love simplicity shots sometimes where there is very little in a scene but it leaves you facinated with the view.

Similar to this.

Pretty simple.

We've had this flickr account for 3 weeks now!

The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity.

Vous devinez ce que c'est?
