Thanks to my friend kabraloka_kbl for letting me use this cool tool. The lightbulb was weld from behind so the cable wasn't visible in the photo.
“As I have practiced it, photography produces pleasure by simplicity. I see something special and show it to the camera. A picture is produced. The moment is held until someone sees it. Then it is theirs.”
~ Sam Abell
From my solo trip to West Michigan over the July 4th weekend. I don't know, I just liked how simple and calm this shot is and the slight reflection that stretched across the water. Kind of a reflection on how I felt that weekend.
1 : the state of being simple, uncomplicated, or uncompounded
2 a : lack of subtlety or penetration : innocence, naiveté
b : folly, silliness
3 : freedom from pretense or guile : candor
4 a : directness of expression : clarity
b : restraint in ornamentation : austerity
I love the simplicity of this photo. It reminds me that we complicate things way too much in the so called "First World " .

Sometimes, in the simplest things, the most common is the true beauty of nature.
On many occasions, nature photographers seek the most shocking photo, or the most impressive place, but never forget that we are surrounded by simple and true beauty.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Weekend. :)

This photo is just a simple photograph at the beach. I like long exposures, so I blurred the water with a longer shutter speed. This is just a simple sunset, nothing special, but I really liked the way that this photo came out. I like the way the water looks with the blurred whitewash. Inspired by photo by Karl Taylor.

~~~ While descending from a winter hike, I suddenly saw this scene, hidden up to now. The weather was very overcast and it was snowing in large flakes (visible in the picture). My pulse has quickened and the shutter has slammed twice before the scene vanishes totally in the mist... then began a few weeks during which I have cherished the memory of this moment, really, I thought only of that!! ... pending the development of the film ...
Eight years later, this photo remains my most intense photographic emotion ... probably also because it was one of the first ...
This is just for that brief moment that I continue to take pictures, to try to live it again... I know I am a naïve person :) ... ~~~
Again, the stones on the roof that I liked so much. I went up there again just so I could take such photos again .. and to spend some time alone, in silence, letting the wind take everything away with it ..
I finally upgraded my env3 last night to an iphone 4! The simplicity of all my new apple products inspired me to rearrange my desk a tad. I had a second monitor, but decided to get rid of it...the 27" imac is plenty haha.
On a sad note, one of my speaker jacks isn't working =/ oh well.
p.s. I took this with my iphone if you couldn't tell :p
Simplicity...
