From my solo trip to West Michigan over the July 4th weekend. I don't know, I just liked how simple and calm this shot is and the slight reflection that stretched across the water. Kind of a reflection on how I felt that weekend.
Simplicity can be very peaceful.

I love the simplicity of this photo. It reminds me that we complicate things way too much in the so called "First World " .
ODC - First World Problems
1 : the state of being simple, uncomplicated, or uncompounded
2 a : lack of subtlety or penetration : innocence, naiveté
b : folly, silliness
3 : freedom from pretense or guile : candor
4 a : directness of expression : clarity
b : restraint in ornamentation : austerity
The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity.

This photo is just a simple photograph at the beach. I like long exposures, so I blurred the water with a longer shutter speed. This is just a simple sunset, nothing special, but I really liked the way that this photo came out. I like the way the water looks with the blurred whitewash. Inspired by photo by Karl Taylor.
Again, the stones on the roof that I liked so much. I went up there again just so I could take such photos again .. and to spend some time alone, in silence, letting the wind take everything away with it ..
Have a great day/night everyone. I had to work overtime last night, very late. Only have an hour before I need to get ready, so I may not get to everyone before I leave. I will do my best. More overtime tonight. I just think of the $$ and then I am OK. LOL!

I finally upgraded my env3 last night to an iphone 4! The simplicity of all my new apple products inspired me to rearrange my desk a tad. I had a second monitor, but decided to get rid of it...the 27" imac is plenty haha.
On a sad note, one of my speaker jacks isn't working =/ oh well.
p.s. I took this with my iphone if you couldn't tell :p
In old Dubai there are many little alley ways and streets to explore. I don't know why I took this but I loved the simplicity and the colours.
... where sometimes silence is comfort.
And even though a smile cannot always be heard,...
it almost always, can be directly felt.

Over the past week, I've been feeling a bit GASsy. Okay, before you start snickering, by GAS, I mean Gadget Acquisition Syndrome.
I don't really buy things randomly or whimsically. For one, I can't afford to, Two, my priorities have changed the last few years.
Still, there are times when it's just so hard to distinguish between my wants and needs. I think that battle will never be won... so much so that sometimes I think of the (full-time) work I've left behind and the financial benefits I once enjoyed. When this happens, I toy around with the possibility of going back, and then at about the same time, I think of what it would demand from me -- less time with my family (and places like this) and more stressful hours spent at work. And just as quickly as the thought crosses my mind, it vanishes... poof.
I'm thankful too for articles like this that reminds me of the joy of having less.
