From my solo trip to West Michigan over the July 4th weekend. I don't know, I just liked how simple and calm this shot is and the slight reflection that stretched across the water. Kind of a reflection on how I felt that weekend.

I finally upgraded my env3 last night to an iphone 4! The simplicity of all my new apple products inspired me to rearrange my desk a tad. I had a second monitor, but decided to get rid of it...the 27" imac is plenty haha.
On a sad note, one of my speaker jacks isn't working =/ oh well.
p.s. I took this with my iphone if you couldn't tell :p

simplicity is a hard thing to come by. nothing is ever simple; everything will seem simple until you jump in the deep end.
I stumbled across this little gem while looking back through some photos from 2013 in the San Juan Islands. Love the simplicity, there's really not much going on in this one. Just gorgeous September light, glassy water and that beautiful big, black dorsal fin. Missing these guys, getting the itch to just book that return flight already!

I was heading out for some night shooting, and couldn't ignore the setting sun. I went out on this point of rock and shot for a while facing west. Then, as the sun disappeared, I turned east... and got this.
I like its stark simplicity and the way the long exposure (two and a half minutes!) makes the ocean all silky.
