Yea...I know it's very simple.. =/
I was going to add in a person on the bed or beside or something but couldn't find any that would've worked...I didn't want to take one just for it b/c of the child molesters! :O
haha
the fog is a bit much also...but...yea..
I didnt really take very much time on this...i was just really bored and decided to make something ...haha i might go back later and fix it up some...
Bead standards # of molecules are:
beads0 0
beads1 3507
beads2 32348
beads3 196948
beads4 941222
Name: Liu, Jianping; Hioe, Catarina; Cammer, Michael
Date of imaging: 25 Jan 2012
Reference to date in paper notebook:
Goal: To measure number of molecules in cell membrane by comparing to fluorescent beads with known fluorophore concentration.
Microscope being used: Olympus IX70 with spinning disk confocal and Hamamatsu camera 4X4 binning
Objective magnification: 60X N.A. 1.42
Probes used and the names of the dyes: (example: rhodamine anti-beta tubulin from Sigma)
Channel 1: Alexa 488 "blue"
Channel 2: a few pics have Propidium iodide "green"
Cell type: "I have 4 samples, 293T cells are stained with
AF488 dye after having been transfected with SF162 env."
What is the substrate, for instance, if bilayers, what proteins are in the bilayers at what concentration for each condition?
Other treatments:
Explain the directory and file naming conventions:
beads4 are the most concentrated and beads1 are the least.
There were four dishes of cells, A through D. All the same.

Simple Gifts
Simple Gifts was written by Shaker Elder Joseph Brackett, Jr. in 1848. It was first published in The Gift to be Simple: Shaker Rituals and Songs. Simple Gifts was a work song sung by the United Society of Believers in Christ's Second Appearing (more commonly called the Shakers, an offshoot of the Quakers).
'Tis the gift to be simple,
'tis the gift to be free,
'tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
It will be in the valley of love and delight.
Refrain:
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we shan't be ashamed.
To turn, turn will be our delight,
'Til by turning, turning we come round right
'Tis the gift to be loved and that love to return,
'Tis the gift to be taught and a richer gift to learn,
And when we expect of others what we try to live each day,
Then we'll all live together and we'll all learn to say,
'Tis the gift to have friends and a true friend to be,
'Tis the gift to think of others not to only think of "me",
And when we hear what others really think and really feel,
Then we'll all live together with a love that is real.

From Colin's notes -
This machine plots two co-planar Simple Harmonic Motions simultaneously in perpendicular directions to give Lissajous figures.
Model designed and built by Colin Davies.
The central vertical axle (at the top) rotates at constant speed to trace a Simple Harmonic Motion of the pen in a horizontal plane:
* x=sin(a)
The eccentric at the end also rotates (at a linked constant speed) to trace a simple harmonic motion of the pen in a horizontal plane at right angles to x:
* y=sin(b)
Both x and y simple harmonic motions are combined mechanically by sliding guides, so that the pen plots harmonic curves to give Lissajous figures within a rectangular or square boundary.
The plotting table can also be activated to rotate with the x or y motions, either separately or together. All three motions are powered by one 12v DC motor or manually.
The designer wanted something simple yet something that would still have that custom look. We came up with this.

I had some time between other projects and have lots of spare yarn, so I knit up a simple cowl. Love this pattern.

...yes, simple but complicated when considering that this planet exist... some engineer who put it all together!
Thanks!
