I've grown to really love these two in a very short time - Sofie (left) is actually the one to start - and end - most of the scraps these two have, despite the fact she's 2/3 the size of Simon. Simon, on the other hand is a giant suck - he headbutts, drools, kneads, purrs and very often keeps me up at night by walking all over me and nudging me, trying to find the perfect place to sleep. While it IS a little maddening, I can't stay angry as they're both just so sweet and gentle kittens.

Australian violinist Simon James performed around the world as a soloist and chamber musician. He has been a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Mostly Mozart Orchestra, and is currently the Second Assistant Concertmaster of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he serves as concertmaster of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra and has performed as guest concertmaster of the Vancouver Symphony, the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra and the Western Australia Symphony in Perth. Mr. James has performed as soloist with the Seattle Symphony acting as Concertmaster on many occasions and regularly plays concertmaster at the Seattle Opera. Mr. James is an active teacher with a large studio of gifted students many of whom have won local and national competitions. In addition to hundreds of motion picture sound tracks, Mr. James has recorded concerti with the Seattle Symphony and the Premiere of Richard Englefield’s violin concerto with the Bratislava Radio Symphony. He is married to Flutist Erin James and is the proud father of Felicity and Bronwyn James.
Simon Pearce pottery is classic and elegant and such a pleasure to sip coffee out of overlooking the water.
