A new Dales location for me and ably guided by Terry Robert's of this parish.
The views from the summit are wonderful taking in a wide vista in all directions. The best view is without doubt, looking down the upper Wharfe valley towards Appletreewick. The heather here is a few weeks away from being in full bloom, but it was still nice to capture a little of their early promise.
The gritstone rock outcrops are very similar to those I encountered last week on Derwent Edge in the Peak District. Alas, the sunset was not to be up here, but the light at this point was very nice, although the wind chill factor was certainly unlike a July evening!

Taken on my daily walk.Simon's wood is a National Trust wood near Finchampstead in Berkshire. Lovely woodland walk with this Lake in the middle of it. I thought this made a nice picture.

I have been trying to get one of these for over a year. Yesterday taking Garbage down the long driveway he was sitting there watching me. I never thought he would still be there by the time I got back to the house grabbed my camera and returned but sure enough, there he was. I left him a few nuts as a model fee:)
