A piece I call "Simba My Love" - countless hours went into this one, and I'll share a short blog piece about it a bit later. It was a project during a digital art class that I am taking from a wonderful teacher, so the concept came from him. The main image is a simba I photographed in Serengeti National Park in 2019.
The rest of the composite is made of free stock photos, arranging them, and experimenting and practicing with the digital paintbrush, light, and shadows. It was such an amazing project to work on.
I am constantly learning, practicing, and growing, and I'm so happy there are folks out there who teach their skills to others. I've certainly benefitted from their willingness to teach, over the years, and sure have had some amazing instructors.
Also called, "At the Window". Deep carved and etched glass. 20 x 20. "Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's passage on 'The Lion's Roar'".... That should be the real title of this piece. Simba is "lion" in Swahili.
Eh, tubaabs, na ngeen def? Cate, Spencer, and Katie at the big field in Ouakam, where Cate and Katie live and where the Simba festival takes place. Notice the throng of people in the background.
