For some reason I had an impulse to check what pictures I took the same day last year then I found this silent conversation with the moon...The serenity, the calmness and the peace, is exactly what I enjoy right now...

A project exploring the ephemeral moment. Through this series I want to create a silent protest against the HS2 following a video of my progress. As this areas will be affected.
This fellow was really radiating the strength of his convictions as I came across him. Sharing time with him, without words, eye to eye, was quite a powerful experience for me.
Within three years the anual Dekmantel Festival in the Amsterdamse Bos has grown an international reputation, with visitors from all over the world. Rightfully so, since it's hard to find a festival line up so strong and balanced as Dekmantel does.
Together with two colleagues I wrote a report and brought a camera. www.djbroadcast.net/article/124735/djb-report-dekmantel-f...
Silent circles have been existing in France since 2007, to protest against "the systematic confinement of illegal immigrant in administrative detention center". Demonstrators gather together once a month, on a public place, and build a circle with their bodies. They do not speak, but there is always a streamer, and some of them carry smaller ones on their back, to be easy to read by passer-by. This protest movement has been initiated by the Franciscan friar Alain Richard.
At the end of the silent circle, demonstrators were listening to the organizers and a few participants. Everybody was standing up except for an attentive man sitting on his chair. Grenoble, France, 16.01.13.
As an effort to document the lives and the struggle of Indonesian domestic workers to be recognized as workers, the International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with JALA PRT and the Jakarta’s Independent Journalist Alliance (AJI Jakarta) launched a book titled “We Will Not Be Silent: 31 Stories of Domestic Workers Behind the Domestic Walls” on Thursday, 10 August 2017, at Wisma Antara, Jakarta.
In the launch, seven leading Indonesia public figures will lend their voices to the plight of domestic workers who have to work long hours with low wages and without employment contract, day off and leave, social protection and legal protection. Selected stories will be read out by Director General for Employment Placement and Expansion of Ministry of Manpower, Maruli Hasoloan, Lukman Sardi (actor), Morgan Oey (actor), Nia Dinata (director/producer), Sari Nila (presenter) and Giwo Rubianto (Chair of Kowani).

I got my order in from Silent Paradise! They are urethane eyes, and they offer basically anything you could want in regards to custom sizing. These are 16mm with smaller iris and pupils. 16mm with 7mm iris and small pupils (the black part in the middle.)
They are BEAUTIFUL eyes. They look a lot like a wild cat's eyes, they make me think of lion eyes.
They're pretty expensive, though right now until Silent Paradise gets a website running, they are 20 percent off. I think they are normally $85? I got mine for $65 I believe. Took about two months, and were packaged VERY well. A padded envelope, then a box, then a smaller box inside the box!
My only issue with them is that Mao's eyes are uneven inside, so they sit too far back. I didn't know how wide and flat the whites of Silent Paradise eyes were, so I think I probably just could have gotten 14mm eyes and they would have fit fine with no gapping. I am considering maybe getting a beveler and trying to make the fit better.
