A couple of different views of Silent Street which is on the route to the Pinnacle in the Grampians National Park, Victoria.

Silent Hill is a horror/survival video game where the protagonist enters a world "Out of phase with our universe." with is filled with horrid with demonic creatures and there were a couple of better than average horror movies spined off from the video games. The young lady while trying to pose and get into character kept getting asked silly questions and started breaking out into laughter repeatedly barely holding the pose here.

~Silent Witness~

It was a gorgeous sunset this evening in Victoria. So glad I was outside to enjoy it! Plus I can’t resist a lonely tree.

Group enjoying a silent disco (which isn't really that silent, given they were all singing along to music only they could hear on their headphones!!) as they descend Victoria Street.

Halls Gap to the Pinnacles loop.

The 'silent street' is a long narrow pass between high walls, on the walk to Pinnacles. It is one of the very best vantage points in the Grampians National Park, Victoria, Australia

One of many deer that came through the forest by my house this morning. They seemed pretty tame. After I put my camera away, I went back out and tossed a green apple from the tree to a doe and she crunched away at it.

I was going through a folder of pics from August 2018, and realised I had never uploaded these - silent disco walk, coming up Cockburn Street in the Old Town, at the start of the Edinburgh Fringe.

The holiday in Kaitaia in the The Far North of NZ was almost over; this was the last evening - and on this particular evening, I'd been trying to capture a fast-setting sunset.

I wasn't successful...!

But when I turned around, this scene was right there, silent and brooding, the full moon peered down between the branches of the old Elm tree...

In the silent crisp nights of the polar regions, there exists a phenomenon so enchanting, so captivating, and so evocative that it whispers secrets of the cosmos to those fortunate enough to behold its splendor--the aurora borealis. Each year, we take some of our Action Photogs to experience it. As we stand beneath the swirling lights and shimmering spectacle, we are reminded of the magic of our universe and the beauty of life! comments below for 2025 dates!

Extremely sad for the passing away of my beloved mamma (and granma of my children), we will relive the birth of Christ in an atmosphere of silence.

Based on the visual evidence, here are three theories on why that stand reads "Silent Night":

The Gravity of the Situation The sign isn't listing the title of a carol; it is providing a literal status update on the sheet music's structural integrity. As you can clearly see at the base of the post, the song is "silent" because every single musical note has physically slid off the parchment. Gravity has stripped the melody right off the page, leaving a blank scroll and a pile of jumbled treble clefs and quarter notes that are now far too disorganized to be sung.

A Temperature-Based Strike It is clearly freezing in this winter wonderland, and the ink simply gave up. Those poor musical notes were likely shivering so violently from the arctic chill that they shook themselves loose and huddled together in the snow for warmth. You can’t expect a high "C" to hang onto a piece of paper when it’s twenty degrees below zero; at that temperature, the only thing the music wants to do is hibernate in a drift until spring.

Managing the Moose’s Expectations The title is serving as a polite disclaimer for the only audience member present: that moose in the background. He looks like he wandered over expecting a full orchestral performance, but the stand is letting him know gently that tonight's show has been canceled due to technical difficulties. It’s telling him, "Look, Bullwinkle, don't get your hopes up. The equipment is broken, the notes are on the floor, and it’s going to be a very silent night."

Thank you very much for watching. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Have a great day dear friends~~!!

I got my order in from Silent Paradise! They are urethane eyes, and they offer basically anything you could want in regards to custom sizing. These are 16mm with smaller iris and pupils. 16mm with 7mm iris and small pupils (the black part in the middle.)

They are BEAUTIFUL eyes. They look a lot like a wild cat's eyes, they make me think of lion eyes.

They're pretty expensive, though right now until Silent Paradise gets a website running, they are 20 percent off. I think they are normally $85? I got mine for $65 I believe. Took about two months, and were packaged VERY well. A padded envelope, then a box, then a smaller box inside the box!

My only issue with them is that Mao's eyes are uneven inside, so they sit too far back. I didn't know how wide and flat the whites of Silent Paradise eyes were, so I think I probably just could have gotten 14mm eyes and they would have fit fine with no gapping. I am considering maybe getting a beveler and trying to make the fit better.

Giant pine stands in silent witness to an amazing display of northern lights that began the night before and now into the early morning hours of 3/24/23. I wonder how many times this tree has stood in the colorful glow in the night sky over its lifetime. For me it's a night I won't soon forget. Tomahawk, WI (Lincoln County).

Thick hill fog over Dartmoor gave a great opportunity to wonder around these eerie woods. An umbrella required to keep the fine mist and rain drops from the tree canopy above though.
