Similar to signs guiding us when we are driving, children can find "signposts" to help them develop their reading skills. These six signposts are; contrasts and contradictions, aha moments, tough questions, words of the wiser, again and again and memory moments. Each signposts helps readers uncover another layer of the text.

A signpost pointing to the Preah Kahn temple, our next stop on our guided photo tour - note the ornate Cambodian script. This temple is not as popular with tourists as the other, more famous temples, as it is in a greater state of ruin and does not have as many ornate carvings although it has some unique features. Jon took us here as there were some interesting photo opportunities and it was easier to get "tourist free" shots.
