These signposts are placed all over the Netherlands for cyclists to find their way. This one is donated to Calgary by our princess Margriet, who was born in Ottawa during WWII (on a piece of Dutch ground) as a gift of friendship in the spring of 2010.
I like the indicated distance to the Netherlands: 7180 km and the other remarkable destinations.

この丘の頂上あたりで側溝の金属製の檻蓋に前輪がはまって、パンク。通行人の女の子にきいても遠くにあるのしか自転車屋は知らないというので、チューブを交換することにした。実は、チューブ交換は初めて。何とか20分くらいで終わり、こわごわ乗る。大丈夫なようだ。

I keep trying to get a shot of this cottage that I like. There are the twin problems of the road and all the phone lines to contend with. Although I think the cottage is very pretty, I just never seem to be able to capture an image that I like.

Interlocking direction flags on a traditional cast-iron signpost at Stonebridge Green, near Egerton, Kent. Enterprising youths with enough muscle could rearrange these to mislead strangers - not that I ever indulged in such a heinous activity!
To the left Pico Turquino and to the right Comandancia de la Plata. Today we would be going to the Comandancia de la Plata, where Fidal prepared his army for the revolution. We would also start from here the next day for our two day hike over Pico Turquino.
