This one only points back - the other signs are for the next national trail, the North Norfolk Coastal Path. So I guess that this is it. The official end of the Peddars Way? I would have expected an information board or something ... maybe a big FINISH sign, but nope.
Well I might as well carry on until I reach the sea :-)
In general, I like directional signs like this. But the problem is always what to include. How many people want directions to the Scottish Rite Temple? What is "Dupont Circle Historic Circle"? Do they mean historic district? And note they invented their own symbol for Metrorail: instead of the M symbol used by Metro, they have the more broad symbol of a car on tracks. I suppose that makes sence if you assume most visitors are not familiar with the M symbol, though it takes only one visit to a Metro station to make the connection. 16th & P NW, Washington, DC.
See similar sign at 7th & F: Discover DC (from March 2006).
This is the signpost to our little camping spot out at Wine Strand. The little beach they call Wine Strand is so idyllic. Lovely smooth sand sloping gently into clear cold water. Wonderful for swimming in. I even took my shampoo down and gave my hair a wash. It never looked or felt so good! Who needs hot showers when they are camping. It's worth roughing it to be out in the wild over looking the sea and the beach.
Cast iron fingerpost made by Gibson of Stamford. Date unknown but could be as early as the turn of the C20. Located on the junction of Brooke Road and Church Street.
Gibson of Stamford. The firm was Thomas Charles Gibson, 22 Broad Street, Stamford, first noted in 1843; later T Gibson & Sons, appearing in directories up to 1930. They made agricultural implements and were iron and brass founders. In the C20 they described themselves as mechanical engineers. They had works in Broad Street in the C19 but they probably moved from there later.

The top of New Zealand, Te Rerenga Wairua (Cape Reinga) signpost. It points to London, Sydney, Tokyo, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Bluff, Equator and the South Pole.
Run to the hills, unless they are coming from the hills in which case run away from the hills.
Anyway, something over there. Probably.
