NAS Tillamook was one in a system of Naval Air Stations from which blimps patrolled against submarines and other threats during WWII.

A famous brand logo rendered in 3D. Part of the 'sign of the times' series

We went on a small bike ride Sunday.............. on the way home I noticed how nice the hotel at the edge of our village looked nestled amongst the greenery.....

this is the hotel we take the infant children to for Breakfast with Santa. Sadly the hotel closed in February, it had a devastating effect around the village as a lot of local people lost there jobs and also local trade in our couple of shops and pubs has declined because there are no people staying here.....it's that knock on effect.

There has been talk of a take over, but as of yet nothing.

A sad sight to see this place empty, but I guess it's happening all over at the moment.

I think this sign is wonderful - especially since this company sells gravestones (in the background). LOL

A solo show of street art by I Heart in the Granville Bridge underpass. It was up for about two days before the city painted over everything.

In 1947 Route 1 was designated as Maine’s Blue Star Memorial Highway from Fort Kent to Kittery to honor those who have served.

I like how it's obvious that the creeper will completely obliterate this sign come summer
