Backroads Saskatchewan - BOB or The "Big Orange Bridge" as its known was constructed in 1936 over the South Saskatchewan River (Highway 15) and was closed in 1998 after a new bridge was constructed beside it. It was converted to a pedestrian bridge in 2012. The bridge is a five span Parker through truss apparently!
While out for a walk I discovered this pile of rubbish spread through out the forest. So much pollution everywhere

More and more of us are realizing that Organic food is best, now if the supply & demand would catch up to each other and they could lower the price then everyone could benefit.
A familiar character (with various appearances) , used for decades in Kodak advertising and promotion .

No texture here, just a ttv. This strange building makes me wonder "Who lives here?" I spotted it behind a poultry shop in the city. Very sad looking, but the little light next to the door made me smile.

So I have been meaning to take a picture of this dollar since last week when I went to get a bagel from Korean Bagel (It's a little typical "Bodega" run by a very nice Korean couple and they have some of the best bagels.... but that is a different story). Anyway I got this dollar as change but did not notice until a few days later. I laughed because it really just sums up everything that has been going on with the stock market and in a way everything that I have been ging through lately. I have been very hesitant to spend it and now after shooting it for you people to enjoy I have decided that I am going to save it..... Even though thay also dated it on the back ( 9-20-07) so it was actually written a year ago.
Also I don't know what the deal is with the "dollar dollar" or the lack of proper punctuation after "My" but it still makes me laugh because I did not notice it until I tried to spend it several days later.
The FFF+ group challenge "Five On The Fifth" (FOTF) - five images in the form of a collage uploaded on the 5th of each month. This month was "Sign of the times" and was set by the lovely Greenstone Girl.
My theme revolves around the different music mediums that have been the "Sign of my Times" (His Master's Voice abit before mine :)). Thanks Andrew for cutting out the records for me (PS 101 and I failed).
His Masters Voice -Shellac 78 rpm recordings, made under the company’s famous trademark of the painting His Master’s Voice, executed in 1898 by Francis Barraud, of his brother’s dog Nipper listening to a Berliner disc gramophone.
Vinyl records- LP 33 1⁄3 rpm record and the 45 rpm single records are made from vinyl plastic. They had become a talismanic object in the 70s and 80s but left the mainstream around 1991.
Compact Cassettes were invented in 1962 and as the technology improve, it became a popular (and re-recordable) alternative to the 12-inch vinyl LP during the late 1970s. Remember all the work that went into recording your favourite songs from the radio, sitting and waiting for them to come up so you could hit record!! Their use declined markedly by late 1980s. I'll never forget when my entire cassette collection was stolen from my car from the carpark at Uni representing so much work.
CDs-1982 saw the first release of digital media in the form of CDs (Compact Discs). I'll never forget a friend of mine asking me to "turn over" the CD to play the other side!
iPods -Various forms of portable media now dominate the music market, starting with the iPod type products with the first version was released on October 23, 2001.
Sometimes these things are circular and records have had a resurgence due to their superior audio qualities without compressing the music as e.g 9.2 million records were sold in the U.S. in 2014, a 260% increase since 2009.
"Playground closed" - and red-wrapped like a small scale something that Christos might have done...

It's not often you come across someone in Calgary, in January, wearing a Mexican Sombrero. So the only decent thing to do was ask him for a portrait. Now Kirby was more than happy to pose for his photo (something I'd prefer people not do) so long as I could tell him where the Bow River was. As it happened he wasn't to far away, so I pointed him in the right direction and he was off on his way.
