Sometimes you have give more thorough instructions than simply hold this sign in front of you so mommy can take a picture.
I collect photos of hand painted Greek signwriting. You never see anything like them in the UK - it's all anodyne corporate logos over here.
I loved this old sign that we saw at the beginning of our walk to Padley Gorge, the Longshaw Estate and Froggatt Edge!
This was our first visit to the Peak District, and we were lucky enough to have a dry and sunny weekend. It was beautiful!
Harlan is another city that has its own wayfinding signs to local landmarks, with the city's logo above it. This example on IA 44 gives four destinations, with the distance sign using all-caps Futura as the font.
This ghost sign is on the same building as the Sweet Caporal Cigarettes ghost sign posted here recenrtly. I lucked out in being able to nab two quality ghost signs on the same building!

That's the tatami floor the plate is sitting on. This is a whole flour cake. A bit uneven, I know, and just a wee bit too dark in one spot... but it was very tasty. And our syrup, though not pictured here, is the very delicious Morse Farm brand, from Vermont. Mmmm!
The Skipping Girl Sign or Skipping Girl Vinegar Sign, originally known as Little Audrey, is possibly the first animated neon sign in Australia, located off Victoria Street in the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford. The sign shows an animation of a little girl playing with a skipping rope.
It was erected at the Nycander factory on 627 Victoria Street in 1936 to advertise Nycander Vinegar. The sign was removed in 1968 and a smaller replica was installed in 1970 at 651 Victoria Street and it now advertises "Skipping Girl" brand vinegar. The replica has been listed by the National Heritage Trust.
The sign endures on the north side of W. 35th Street It's been here at least since the mid-1950s, when I attended my first games there. It's all that remains in place from Comiskey Park.

Let's face it, unless you are a Trumpette these are stressful times. More damage is being done under this administration than even under the paranoia of the McCarthy era. of the 1950's. In between bouts of fighting back against the irrational actions of our national leaders we all need a stress free zone for a short while. A local natural foods store has recognized this and has created one.

NO group invites of any kind, .......... would be very kind thank you.
There's a longish 'secret' path in our garden and as a great fan of the film 'Labyrinth' I have created some signs that quote from the film. Silly I know!
this is one of my favorite ghost signs and ghost sign photos I've taken!
okay, I'm in the Boston area right now and need to get away from the computer for the rest of the day...
