A man and (I'm assuming) his son snowshoeing through Battery Park. I've seen a lot of folks on snowshoes and cross-country skis over the past two days. It's impressive.
(And -- uh -- if you guys in the picture see this: don't tell anyone that you saw me fall like right after this. I was totally embarrassed.)

Son #2 played a sight words game over a "picnic" lunch on the family room floor, while I packed orders today.
An aerial tied down by long cables on which rested a huge flock of starlings, all the time coming and going. I loved the way the birds moved downwards to make room for a new arrival.
This was a first sighting for me and what a pleasent bird it was to see :-)
I,d spent the afternoon about 100 Metres away, observing Goldfinches, and was making my way back to the carpark.
Suddenly, the male flew out of a near-by thicket and settled down onto the ground, 9 or 10 metres in front of me. My first thought, after freezing dead still, was that it was a Scarlet Robin. Then the female flew down alongside and I knew it wasn,t.
Keeping in mind that I was walking through a Cow field, I had a careful look down and around for any fresh deposits of fertiliser, shall we say, and slowly sat down. The male was a bit stand-offish but the female was much more brazen and came over to about 4 metres away from me.
That wasn,t the end of it though. When I got back to the carpark, I saw another female sitting on one of the boundry rocks, right near the car !
Everywhere you go in Britain, beautiful sights like this are blighted by roadworks, signs, Arris fencing, scaffolding, cones and people in hi vis.
The statue of Charles Rolls stands in front of Shire Hall in Monmouth, Wales. The hall dates from 1724. Charles Rolls was co-founder of Rolls Royce, the other being Henry Royce. Rolls was an aviation pioneer, being only the second Briton to fly, and later went on to fly from England to France and back without landing, in 1910. His final achievement was to be the first Briton to die in a plane crash.
Coach Caldwell was temporarily blinded last week when he gazed at the Saints score on their jumbo scoreboard,,,
