There is a story here. Last weekend Santa Cruz, California had its annual "Fungus Fair" Hosted by Christian Schwarz, and Noah Siegel. It was fun! As I expected it was fun photographing all manner of fungus. And, no doubt I have scores of photo's. But after I ate my mushroom lasagna, mushroom quiche, along with candy cap mushroom cream filled pastry I went out to find some mushrooms on my own. Well, it started raining, but by that time I had already found about a dozen different species in town. It's kind of fun!
I hopped off I-39 at Wenona and immediately caught sight of the silhouette of the Schnabel car just a half mile to the east, so I took off and caught up with the train here at Leeds. I was hoping to catch it further west around Edelstein or Chillicothe, but the train left Galesburg earlier than I expected and had no delays.

A four-engined airliner flies over on a Saturday afternoon. In normal times this would be a frequent occurrence on this flightpath.

I would have loved to have gotten closer to this guy, but he wasn't having any part of it. In hindsight, perhaps that is a good thing.
The Taj Mahal, with a soft declining light. I was impressed by the building and its story. It lives up to its reputation.
