CREX ES44AC #1214 leads a loaded oil train through Brookfield shortly after the outbound Metra left the station. Due to a gas leak at Cicero, trains on the Racetrack were delayed significantly.
I hopped off I-39 at Wenona and immediately caught sight of the silhouette of the Schnabel car just a half mile to the east, so I took off and caught up with the train here at Leeds. I was hoping to catch it further west around Edelstein or Chillicothe, but the train left Galesburg earlier than I expected and had no delays.
