(Looking left in my yard) Hopefully, this is the last time I have to cut the lawn this year.

Newly planted. Tree in background is an apple tree, which I plan to take out. Who grows apples in coast southern California? Meh.
Re-Test with the T2i Canon with the SIGMA 10-20mm. I am planning to squeeze in time to visit museums, landscapes, etc. Affordability advantage meets creativity angles pretty much with lighting and speed fun control to this DSLR. Basically, flickers are an addicting noise-like melody capturing a million stories—no Lightroom or Photomatix effects.

Imagine my surprise and delight to see all these huge shaggy inkcap mushrooms at my veterinary clinic property today. I ran home and got my macro lens. A few hours later, their landscaper mowed them all down.

The poor sunflowers may not have gotten enough sun, they all ended up toppling over when their seed heads got large and the stalks apparently couldn't support their weight. So I don't think the seeds fully formed. The ALT flowers were supposed to get really tall, but have grown quite slowly and may not flower at all this summer.

Check out Porter, a lucky pup relaxing on the new K9Grass that our friends over at A Dog's Haven just recently had us install! I wonder who loves it more, Porter or the staff at A Dog's Haven?!

The sideyard has always been a patch of weeds mowed to resemble a lawn. I've seeded this 30 by 30 foot area with California wildflowers. I expect it will take years for it to look really good but no time like the present to get started. Just behind and beyond the lemon tree is another (twin) arbor to support Lia's climbing 'Joseph's Coat' rose.
