This is one of the 4-5 bands I shot in one day. This is the 2nd band, first location. We drove around for a bit then finally found this spot and figured it would work perfect.

Love everything about this shot.

All trees are beautiful but give them a covering of snow and they're taken to a whole new level.

Sideshow Toys Red Sonja statue. I think this is in their premium format (1/4 scale). What can I say? I'm a Red Sonja junkie. If Phicen got something closer to this headsculpt on the 1/6 scale Sonja, I'd be a lot happier.

Sideshow Snake Plissken 1/6 figure.

Sideshow Toys Red Sonja statue. I think this is in their premium format (1/4 scale). What can I say? I'm a Red Sonja junkie. But this is the build and facial expression that I'd prefer to see on a 1/6 scale version.

In My Mother's Garden

I figure since I do not have any collections to show will just add one more to the pool. Iron Man and Wolverine Comiquette are my favorite pieces of Sideshow to date! The representation of the statue (Iron Man) from the comic cover is better which makes this a museum piece!

I was lucky enough to have borrowed this from a friend of mine for some picture taking.

This is probably my favorite Sideshow Collectible (along with Iron Man Comiquette) to date. The details on his face is stunning! I like the way Wolverine is posed here, ready for battle. This type of lighting is called Rim Lighting and I was fortunate enough for this effect that I really like. =D

* This photo recently won a Toy Photography contest by Sideshow Collectibles and with the help of flickr member Shaun Wong. The criteria was 50% online voting and 50% from Sideshow's people. The price is a 1:6 scale Storm Trooper figure. Thanks very much! God bless =D

So this took longer than the last one, but it is more complicated so I'll give it that. Tattoo girl! She turned out pretty cute. Her other hand (not shown here) would probably say TUFF.

Also, related and crossposted from my blog:

I had an idea last night about word of mouth and the whole idea of 'it's who you know...' I know I don't know as many contacts as my friends and I'm always itching to meet more people. So I'm going to try a little offer here. If you suggest/pass my name along to an industry contact (be it editorial or publishing or a design agency or licensing for housewares (bonus points!) or advertising or greeting cards or whatever!-- basically anyone who might hire me for a project),I will paint the animal of your choice and send it to you, gratis. Or if you have a hankering for a monster/imaginary creature, I can do that too.

What you have to do: contact someone and refer me to them. Doesn't have to be pushy or complex, just tell them I exist and if you think I'd do good work for them! In short, put in a good word for me. Then email me at meg@meghunt.com (subject line: Word of mouth!) and tell me who you told and their company so I can keep track. And of course tell me what animal you would like and your address.

What I will do: Thank you profusely and paint you a fun picture (around 7-9", about the size of the paintings above). Depending on how many people do this, it may take a while for me to get your painting done but I'll try my hardest to make them in a timely fashion (and let you know how long it might be along the way).

So tell your friends! It's a win-win situation-- you get free original artwork for the cost of a few kind words, I get to improve my painting skill, everyone will get to see new fun paintings, and hopefully some cool people in the art/design world might find a new person to work with.
