The DB Red of 66017 contrasts with the green mesh of the footbridge at Holmes . 66017 was working the 6Z37 1310 Neville Hill Up Sidings - Booths Masboro a rake of redundant four wheel hoppers , seen reversing the consist into its final destination .

Laugh, clown, laugh!
The alternate head comes with a spare neck peg, though I didn't need it. The expression is laughing rather than smiling, and the hat is not removable.
Close crop for a good look at the headsculpt. It's both extremely realistic and extremely cartoon-y, exaggerated in all the right ways to make him a perfect comic-book styled Joker.

I am sticking with my beloved sideshow freak theme for this round. I included some of the pieces that I received last round in this mosaic (the ones I could locate in time). I would LOVE a Spotted Woman (also called Leopard Girl), Tattooed Woman, Schlitzie, Lobster Boy, Myrtle Corbin the 4-legged Girl, Albert/Alberta the half-man-half-woman, Serpentina, KooKoo The Bird Girl, or any of your favorite freaks. I already have a Fat Lady, Strong Man, Spider Lady, Bearded Lady, Siamese Twins, Dog Faced Girl.
Probably the last one from Liverpool Festival 2013. This one is a 3 shot pano of some of the sideshow attractions and food outlets. Fine dining indeed

I guess they didn't really have to perform anything to earn their living. I'd bet most people with their condition would have been put into institutions, so these two were the lucky ones because, at least, they had a social life and gainfull employment. c.1925
I have mixed feelings about how I would feel had this ended up in my decorated shoebox mailbox in the 3rd grade.

Today I met a punk and as we were chatting on the stoop his roommate came out to talk to us. Thus another face for inclusion in the 608 strangers, in our brief encounter I learned that SideShow works at a local (and delightful) dumpling restaurant called Umami (to which I highly recommend). As an creative type, I learned that SideShow also owns one of the most classic cameras to exist, the Pentax K1000. Unfortunately he has many rolls of film yet to be developed as he finds it most expensive, and hard to find a place to process images. I can agree with this, and express my frustrations that even the local technical college tore out the darkrooms and replaced them with "digital darkrooms." Photography is no longer what it was when I first started taking pictures all those years ago.
Before working at Umami, SideShow worked in drywall, but has always loved cooking. His love for cooking now being his primary income, he expressed that "people will always remember the food." As a photography whose done a few food assignments with the Isthmus I can appreciate his words. SideShow still had to work in the coming hours, so before he headed inside to shave; I requested a quick picture for the project. He agreed, but my light was not right and I had to settle for not the perfect picture. In doing the 100 strangers project I have learned that it is not always about the quality of the photograph, but rather the quality of the encounter. Today was the later, we parted ways and I vowed to try Umami soon enough!
