I tweaked my back on my hike this weekend, not sure how, I wasn't doing anything particularly strenuous. I had to hike 1000 ft. back up out of the canyon with a heavy pack and bad back. It was a miracle I was able to do it. When I got back home, I was out on the floor, I could not even stand up. Oh and did I mention that waterfall season is starting, and I already had three big hikes planned for next Thanksgiving weekend? Ugh, will I be able to do any of them now? Oh back, please heal quickly!

Conrail 7552 was apparently set out at Passaic Junction by a local crew. A blue flag was in place and there was smoke emanating from the front truck. I assume there was an issue with a traction motor. It was otherwise not common for Conrail power to layover here.

My son found these long forgotten toy trains whilst clearing out cupboards the other day; something I suspect we've all being doing a lot of just lately! I just love the expressions on their faces, probably sums up how we are all feeling at the moment. :-)

Still sidelined after my hand operation (which went well thanks) but it's given me time to listen to the song thrushes in the Wildlife Cafe. This one has been particularly vocal in the past few days. Here's a little snippet from this morning. PS Note the squirrel emptying the feeders!
