When Consumer Reports rated Rogaine (minoxidil) as “the most disappointing hair growth treatment ever,” this was a result of a combination of factors. Poor tolerance to the medication—which can often cause hairstyling problems at the least and, at the worst, a significant irritation to the scalp—coupled with the discipline required to achieve effectiveness has always significantly hindered hair loss patients from reaching their goal with minoxidil. But I have a sinus infection & am finding it impossible to do practically anything.
At least it's still a picture, right?... Sorry. Will be back on track tomorrow, the side effects of the medicine aren't treating me well.

This transdermal patch contains scopolamine, a substance that prevents sea sickness. By absobing the substance through the skin you get an even distribution over time.
This time, with no wind at all, it was totally overkill to use it but better safe than sorry. I sometimes get sea sick without them but with this patch I have been down in the galley cooking a three courses dinner on a sailing boat on the north sea in a gale (force 8, 18 m/s) without any tendency of getting sick.

You'd think I'd be happy to enjoy a sundae, but it's more that I can't stop eating. My new medications make me hungry. All the time.
I haven't gotten to the point where I'm making healthful choices yet. I'm finally starting to feel human again, so I'm enjoying it while I can. I know I need to lose weight and that will be difficult for me, but I'm dealing with things one at a time.
For now, I will eat my vanilla bean ice cream sundae with caramel sauce, whipped cream, and pecans.
