This turned into a timed drawing. During allergy season I can only stay outside for about 30 minutes before I start sneezing.
I worked in Brushes starting with a quick line drawing. I then added color in two layers underneath the line layer - one for the colors behind the gate and one for everything else.
It's hard to draw on the iPad outside. Even sitting in the shade there is so much reflection on the screen that it's hard to judge color and values.

This past 4th of July weekend (2010) I went down to my girlfriend's hometown, Eagle Pass, TX, for the first time. Eagle Pass is a small town along the Texas/Mexico border & has lots of cool old cars as well as cars from Mexico that aren't sold here.
I wish I was able to take pics of EVERY single car I saw but I wasn't driving so I could only capture so much. Hope y'all enjoy these!

We walked down this shady side street in Capri to the wall that woman is leaning on. Signs there directed us to the Augustana Gardens and the Krupp Walk.
East side of Timmons Chapel of All Faiths on the campus of Pittsburg State University. Built in 1966 and named after Bess Spiva Timmons, a strong supporter of PSU.
