Ralph Waldo Emerson. The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship.

Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!

John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.

Trying my hand in sports photos for the first time - only to find out it's not easy :(

This gorgeous and inquisitive little fellow is a Buff-sided Robin, a moderately common bird of Australia's tropical Top End from the Kimberley ranges through to the Queensland border.

They are delightful liitle birds, always wanting to get a good look at you to see what you are up to, and are often walking companions for quite long stretches. At one point when I sat down by the river for a rest, a pair of them flew up to a nearby tree and stared expectantly at me. I felt like I should juggle or do a magic trick just to keep them amused!

So here’s the story, when I was younger I had an unhealthy love of all things Batman. I was an avid reader of the comics, and wearer of Under-roos as far back as I can remember. Somewhere along the line, my personal obsession became a full fledged collection. I would receive Batman related items for EVERY Birthday, Christmas etc. Literally every gift I received for a five year span was Batman related. And in my 11 year old mind, every scrap of it was sure to be a collectors item. So my fortune grew. I was like some dragon atop my golden horde, relishing in every trading card or pencil topper I could get my greedy little hands on. Preserved in its protective blister packs it eventually was overlooked for more pressing concerns like girls. Eventually the whole lot of it was moved up to the attic where it remained until a few weeks ago. With my parents moving and the house getting cleaned out, the seal was broken on Batman’s tomb and he is haunting me once again. Time for it to find a new home, Yours!!

Now here’s the rub. By entering the competition, you agree to accept the prize. ALL OF IT. If you want to landfill it, fine, but it’s on your concenince, and I had better not find it in my trash can or scattered down my street.

I would prefer someone to just come and pick it up (Oakland CA) but I am willing to ship it provided you foot the shipping charges and an additional $10 for me to buy some boxes, tape etc. Keep in mind that this collection is bulky and sort of heavy.

Now a lot of what was available was related to the 90’s era films. The Blue and Gray Superfriends costume was abandoned for the more marketable Black costume in the Burton films, and as such a lot of what I have is of that Batman. The Pictures that I have taken show about two thirds of the overall collection, here is a list of some of what is included:

T-Shirts of at least a dozen different styles and sizes. Puzzles, Cereal, Corn Chips! Yes, Batman corn chips!! Pencil Toppers, Erasers, Markers, Remote control Batmobile, Pens and pencils, Board Games, Banners, Posters, Trading Cards, Glasses, Kites, Books, Notebooks, Napkins, Frisbees, Models, Party Favors, Playing Cards, Stuffed Animals, Tighty Whities, Water Bottles, Candy, Valentines, Boxers, Lunch Boxes, Something that I think is Shampoo, Are you starting to get an idea of what a crazy person I am…. I mean was…

Sorry this is sideways! Thought I had it corrected. The letters spelling "sea" are from an old board game.

Side (Greek: Σίδη) is an ancient Greek city on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey, a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in the country. It lies near Manavgat and the village of Selimiye, 78 km from Antalya in the province of Antalya.

It is located on the eastern part of the Pamphylian coast, which lies about 20 km east of the mouth of the Eurymedon River. Today, as in antiquity, the ancient city is situated on a small north-south peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m across. [from Wikipedia]
