Seems all the toys have caught camera fever lately...

We're sitting at a truck stop near Holbrook, AZ waiting for AAA. Flickrites should never get bored as long as we have a camera.

A little digital manipulation inspired by Olli. Two parts lensbaby, one part straight. I was trying to mirror the right side to give it symmetry without making it blindingly obvious.

Today I spent some time assembling and testing a “poor mans" fisheye lens made from a door peep-hole viewer and adding a (ex-Tokina zoom lens element) wide angle conversion lens to my body-cap pinhole. Perhaps over the next week I will inflict some of the strange optical distortions upon my photostream.

And I'm also really excited by the mostly brilliant images of my latest contact, cairo2world.

Maybe better on black.

Flickr friends from Bangalore and Chennai got together for photography trip to Somnathpur, Karnataka, India.

We had lot of fun. Originally planned to return in the after-noon. We never thought about return till the sun went down.

This is the last click of the trip. Heavy rain started seconds after.

I'm so excited both my boys are enjoying taking pictures. Here he's using my 16-year old Kodak DC210. This thing is so old I can't connect it to a single computer in my house. I'm anxiously awaiting a multi-card reader from Amazon. I can't wait to see The Bear's pics.

This little camera is a treasure for me because my grandmother took a lot of pictures with it, but it doesn't work anymore. It looks pretty, but it no longer serves it's original purpose. It makes a fabulous photo prop, though!

Day 87/365 - All Set.

I attended a dinner tonight at the Fire Hall. The glassware and candles looked so nice...

My interest in photography fueled my interest in collecting dolls and doll accessories and toys.

inspired by an instant self portrait of friend Moominsean with a tiny camera.

June 3, 2019 – Chip Art.

It’s surprisingly difficult to photograph a lone potato chip. Or perhaps I should say… it’s surprisingly difficult to leave a potato chip uneaten long enough to photograph it.

Three cameras in one family grouping is impressive. This fellow is not identified but he poses before the same backdrop as Florence.

Gasp! A Nikon? As a loyal, longtime Canon user, I feel as if I'm fraternizing with the enemy.

A young photographer captures the moment at the 27th Annual Chicago Tribune Printer's Row Literary Festival. She came up kind of close behind me at the lit fest and took a pic of my dreadlocks - I'd love to see how the pic turned out.
