Il Ponte Vecchio di Firenze
Gaddi mi fece; il Ponte Vecchio sono;
Cinquecent' anni giá sull' Arno pianto
Il piede, come il suo Michele Santo
Piantó sul draco. Mentre ch' io ragiono
Lo vedo torcere con flebil suono
Le rilucenti scaglie. Ha questi affranto
Due volte i miei maggior. Me solo intanto
Neppure muove, ed io non l' abbandono.
Io mi rammento quando fur cacciati
I Medici; pur quando Ghibellino
E Guelfo fecer pace mi rammento.
Fiorenza i suoi giojelli m' ha prestati;
E quando penso ch' Agnolo il divino
Su me posava, insuperbir mi sento.

Mesa Arch is a famous structure in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. The arch is located right on the rim of the plateau, and the view from there is stunning.

On a photo marathon with my Ottawa Shutterbugs, we stooped at a restaurant and we could not resist to shoot some interior details.
Went to take pictures this morning and let my daughter use my dads old camera. Little did I know how happy that would make her. She had the best time! I totally loved seeing the smile on her face as she was showing me all of her pictures.
Hey guys! I'm so happy and I wanted to share with you all..My photo has been published in the July issue of Shutterbug Magazine. It's the photo of the cosmos on the bottom left! I'm so excited!! (You can find this photo here on Flickr...in my bokeh folder).
Thank so much to my friend Alan for convincing me to send my photo in to the magazine and also for letting me know I was there!! ~mwah~
Photos taken at a workshop with Dave Brosha. Big thanks to Daver and to the other participants for their help and ideas!
This is one of a set of landscape photos we did at 11 pm till about 1 am. (evenings are long up here!)
Dave encouraged us to try our various lenses for certain effects. Here he asked us to get a silhouette of another participant aganist the night sky.

Large homemade softbox camera right
Handheld gold reflector camera right
That is it....simple setup.
Which have probably been snapped a few hundred times already, but I believe these silver balls were scattered around Hietalahti for the express purpose of attracting those with cameras and a bit of leisure time.
