‪#‎Designer‬ ‪#‎shutters‬: An ideal way to spruce up interior and exterior home

My subject is my dog in the foreground but, in the background coincidently was another similar corgi. This was one of my many attempts to freeze the movement of my dogs as they played at the beach. The shutter speed was 1/400 which is pretty fast and seems to be the sweet spot on my camera for moving targets. f/5.0 iso 125

Shutters are aglow from afternoon sun while bar hoppers enjoy drinks at Señor Frogs in Cabo San Lucas during spring break.

Using slow shutter speed and a piece of wood on fire i created this

Just felt like editing some photos I have never used.

The shutter consists of 2 main blades (in the middle of the picture). The one to the left is keyed to the spindle, the one to the right has a gear which is driven by the differential gearing alowing the angle between the blades to be controlled. To the left of the blades are the reflex focusing release cam and the screw that holds the shutter to the spindle. To the right is the shutter backplate.

These are the first from my spring break travels. Our first stop was Amsterdam. What a cool city. I couldn't believe all the bikes we had to avoid. It is not the slumy, sleazy, world that I had thought it was. Amsterdam was a very cool place and I'd gladly go back. It was pretty and easy to get around.

I was looking at the Guardian Camera Club's assignment for March - Photographing the recession - and it seemed like an interesting challenge, as the signs are everywhere. Or so I thought.

The fact is that with no window ledges lined with bankers, it's sometimes difficult for the casual observer to tell what's the result of the recession and what would be that way anyway. This row of shuttered shops and the boarded up flats above may have been scheduled for redevelopment whether the world's economy got broken or not.

Hopefully it makes quite a good image either way.

I took this as part of a photography lesson. The subject is motion, and this is trying to capture the motion of the water using a slow-shutter for the "angel hair" effect.

Love the classic Nikon shutter dials, buttery smooth operation with that nostalgic feel.
